I used treated boards very successful

Driving to Giddings today saw lots of $3.99 gasoline. Hard to believe it could go up to $9 a gallon but every few days it goes up 40¢.

Kyle those 2 extra screws in the duct tape in the battery compartment of the mower were left over after I took the battery compartment out looking for a short under it. There was a lot of grass inside under it that I blew out but no visible shorts. The next think is to take off the black cover that the battery case fits in but I could not access the back two screws unless I took out the motor. Thats where I stopped and just got a new mower. Good luck.

In some parts of Cali (Beverly Hills?) gasoline is $9 a gallon, so they say.

BTW, has anyone bought (or priced) any True Fuel lately? Just wonder if it's going up proportionally.

$9 Texas gasoline = $25 Kalifornia gasoline.

These are the LED lights we are starting to have issues with.

Huge heat sink on top. The LED segments attach to the bottom. Manufacturer does not sell a replacement LED element, nor is this model even made anymore.

As we all know, glyphosate is up around 250% since last year.
I found a 2.5 gallon jug of concentrate on Amazon for $66.xx with free shipping and it’s 43%. I’m sure it’s straight from China, delivery between March 11-17. They only had 8 left they said.

One of the issues with servicing LED’s has been the rapid progress in design and manufacturing. The development of consumer LED has been somewhat stunning. Seemingly every year, there has been new and improved LED lights and fixtures. Sadly, the old “latest and greatest” was quickly obsoleted as design/manufacturing moved on.

Definitely sucks when your “obsolete” light dies and it has to be completely replaced

We have some fixtures like that, too, BEF. This one has one LED mounted on a board in each unit, with a plastic lens over it, and a plastic bezel mounted around that to hold it in place. She told me it had started pulsing. I let it run for a couple of hours yesterday after removing all the plastic it's encased in, and it never had any problems. I'm thinking it's heat-related. It's the light over her piano, so she got annoyed when it started pulsing over her sheet music ... which I can completely understand.

I looked on the Lowe's website to find replacements, and found a plethora of bad reviews commenting on the same thing; units go out and replacements aren't readily available. The distributor did reply on a couple of them offering to get them parts, so I'm going to contact them to see what they can do. We like the light, but may have to eventually replace it with something more serviceable. For now, I'll see if I can get parts to keep it working.

Naturally, it's 5-year warranty has just expired.
Tell her to play like Keith Emmerson from ELP with a strobe light effect. :)

The lawn mower is dropped off, (thanks Don (I hope)). Thanks for the heads up....maybe I've bitten off more than I can chew. Don, I'm assuming you already checked the 3 relays and the possible red small wire that goes up the handlebars for a short? Electronics is not my forte....but I do have a new test light.

Hydraulic cylinder sitrep...So I got the first "bent rod" cylinder repaired. Took apart it's twin (the one that I posted the bent rod pic of), and went down and ordered the bare minimum orings and seals to repair it. Took the bent rod over to my buddy's press, put his nice Mitutoyo jeweled indicator underneath the rod, so I could tell how far I was bending it.... Using mental data from the successful repair of the 1st unit, I put 5 tons on it, and it just sprang back to it's bent condition. I put a bit more on it and the same. So I put a wee bit more force on it and BAAMM! It cracked and put a hit on the indicator, breaking it's tip off and now it's "notchy" in it's movement. So I'm looking for him a new indicator of like quality and build, since the model he has/had is no longer offered. Ugh. And now I'm needing to buy about 24"+ of 32mm diameter hydraulic rod stock. It turns out that most is offered in cold rolled 1045 stock and often induction hardened. It has 75k yield in this condition, but I've found some chrome moly 4140 chrome plated stock with 100k yield, for about $150. less tax and shipping which is about 20lbs worth. I will have to thread one end and weld the other end to the crosstube rectangle yoke. Deere wants $500 for a new rod, and a bit over $1000 for a whole new hydraulic cylinder. Ugh again.

No I did not. My plan was to bypass the safeties on the handle with the paperclip by the motor like in the YouTube, but I could not find the connection to put the paperclip in because the model they were working on is like the model I bought new not the older model. They were working on EGO mowers under warranty because they did not want to wait excessively for warranty repair.

Well good evening all. It started out to be such a nice evening, with about 4 to 5 inches of light fluffy snow all hanging on the trees and making everything look pretty. We probably would have sat out on the deck all bundled up and watch the sun “go down” with a glass of wine in our hand, followed by sitting around the fire and watching the new episode of “Outlander”

However, disaster struck. The wife went out to let the dog pee, and the driveway had so much ice under the snow that she fell and broke her arm. We had to call an ambulance, and now she’s at the hospital in Huntsville, waiting to get a CT scan because she had broken that arm once before and there’s a steel plate in it.

Very bad luck to be sure. And the hospital in Huntsville is not equipped to do any kind of complicated orthopedic surgery, so she will likely have to be sent down to Toronto to the expert who did the steel plate last time. That would be a good thing, and I will be heading out to TO to visit and be with her as much as I can.

Major bummer, as we were planning on spending some quiet time up here for a while.

Flail mower all fixed. Never ever want to do that again. 10 hours of hard slog and heavy lifting. My rib survived but I am having trouble with balance/walking since.
Battery is flat in my tablet so nothing more for now. Good night.

OK, I'll bite. What happens to the stuff you neet to dispose of?
I take it to the dump. But other than brush, construction rubble, couches and mattresses I don't pay a red cent. Anything that will burn, I burn.

   / Good morning!!!! #146,899
Good morning, low temp 11 and going to a high of 32°F. Wind NNW 8 mph. A mix of sun and cloud.

I have 6" of snow to plow this morning, 'bout time. What ever happened to the 12" dumps we used to get? I miss them.

mostly, I will be out of wood by the end of April for sure, but I have oil backup.

Good thoughts and well wishes for your wife, check.

Have a safe day all
