I was fortunate as a kid, many of my aunts/uncles had camps in the lakes region. I spent many happy days swimming, fishing and hiking.

Good luck with the BX23 it should serve you well. I have both a snow blade and the front blower for my BX24, it sure
beats the old farmall cub I used to plow with LOL.

I haven't bought anything but the Honeycrisp lately. I think they're as good as it gets.

My family likes the honeycrisps too, but when they are large, and $2.89/lb, they can cost $2-3 dollars apiece. Ouch. So we tend to buy a lot of Red delicious apples. I have seen smaller honeycrisps on sale for $.89/lb

Picked up a grocery order at Walmart. They were crowded. I guess it's the season.

36F and cloudy @ 20:00, headed down to an overnight low of 32F.

Got squirrel feeder, sunflower seed and nyjer tube feeders refilled, put out two scoops of cracked corn. Brought in empty deer corn dish. Hopper feeder still had a little in it, will get that one tomorrow ... along with putting the new Moultrie feeder.

A little while after I finished that, these guys came strolling through:

Bagged up the batts of fiberglass insulation that had fallen down over the stairwell going down to the basement. Was a nasty job given that they covered with blown in cellulose insulation as well.

Made the run to the South Akron Home Depot and picked up order for three supply valves for bathroom sink and toilet.

Then headed to the Fairlawn Home Depot and picked up 38 sq. ft. of the black and white mosaic tile and a gallon of RedGuard.

After that, I headed over to the Wadsworth Home Depot and picked up the big order: 6 cases of white tile, 45 sq. ft. of the black and white mosaic tile, 100 lbs of thinset mortar and a bunch of tools and supplies. Also bought two Homer buckets and was given a third free one ... :thumbsup:

Swung by Hamburger Station on the way back and got the "Drive-Thru Pack" for dinner: two gut bombs, fries, and a drink ... :thumbsup:

Still have two tile orders to pick up at the Home Depots in Cuyahoga Falls and Streetsboro, and the new crapper is supposed to be in tomorrow at South Akron.

Found them in the middle of the driveway.

Glad the rain had stopped.

I am at the edge of apple country so we buy them straight from the tree. So much better than grocery store. So many orchards available. We like yellow delicious. Cider is made at the orchard also.

Saw a thing in the news recently about UPS not taking anymore deliveries from like six or so different companies.

Between the 'Rona and normal holiday season, the package delivery companies are having trouble keeping up.

This was the year locally to go black Friday shopping. There wasn't squat for people out.

35 out now, calling for over two inches of rain, Friday into Saturday.
Hauled off the last of the pumpkins, had the loader bucket full, I dropped them in the woods for the deer and coons. Got some decorations up,repaired Peanuts inflatable and put a new bulb in Lucy’s head. Not a fan of inflatables, but I like Charlie Brown. Got the Nativity up but still have to run a cord, got outside tree in place and hooked up the remotes to the receptacles so I can click them from the living room. Still got a bunch to put up. I hope we can finish before the rain hits.

Good evening all. 39F for the start, overcast breezy. Got windier, overcast all day, and high temp was a whooping 43F. Stayed inside and feed insert after cleaning some ashes out. Did get nap in and got bike ride spreadsheet up to date. Good shot to reach 6K miles again this year.
Covid update: Cooke 1153 confirmed cases, 157 active cases, Montague 765 confirmed cases, 90 active cases, Grayson 4670 confirmed cases, 376 active cases, local unchanged.
Roy I would think the snows will work a bit better for you.

BEF, you should have one tractor for every implement.

Someone with a newer Volvo Class 8 tractor and trailer failed to negotiate a straightish section of road on Hwy 11 this morning. Both units are a write off. Trailer is twisted bad and the barn doors are sprung open. The frame on the tractor might be okay. They had a softer landing though, thanks to some snow on the ground. When I came back south I looked for skid marks...none. Tracks in snow in the median indicate to me that they were going south bound.
Snoozing and cruising usually is to blame. IF the driver was alone AND no witnesses, he could blame a moose. He might get away with that lie to the cop, then again he might not.

Keep in mind that the propane doesn稚 flow if the engine isn稚 running. The regulator on the engine maintains 0 pressure, it depends on suction from the Venturi in the carb to draw the gas into the engine. So you would need a failure of the zero regulator for there an issue when the engine quits, although it isn稚 likely that the engine would run if the regulator stuck open free flowing gas.
If it doesn稚 sit around totally unsupervised for long periods, you would be fine without the solenoid. Although I would likely do it myself just because I like to tinker. If you decide to proceed, PM me, I likely have a surplus 12v shutoff.

I did a homemade conversion on a Honda twin, and was astounded at what a narrow range of mixture that propane would run on.
Unlike gasoline which runs best at approx 14-1, but will run on either side at a wide margin. Propane has to be spot on or it doesn稚 fire.

Thanks for the explanation, and the warning, Paul. The "instructions" that came with the kit are very general, and don't go into any details of how the regulators work. Yes, there are two: one to drop from the high pressure of the bottle down to something much lower, and a much smaller one that thanks to you I now know acts as something of a shutoff valve to meter propane into the engine based on the needs of the combustion cycle. Being conservative when it comes to safety, no way I'd leave the valve on the bottle open unless I actually want the compressor to run. But now that you've explained the function of the zero regulator, I'm a little more comfortable with the use case I outlined. Still might implement your solution, but might try to get the generator running with what I've got first...
