Nice cold drizzling yucky day. After lunch went for a ride around with our friends in their superduty. Like the truck. Lot more room in back seat. Had to stop for the train. Not a very scenic ride today. I hear the train just returning now.
Went up to the lot we almost bought last year. Nice house being built on it but didn’t get a picture. Electric has been ran in underground from up the road. They will have a gorgeous view, just not today. Here’s pic from last year.

Good Afternoon BEF,
Beautiful shot of that house on the hill ! Looks like a cliff or steep drop off to the left, maybe a sand pit or equivalent ?

That house must have a great view !

That pic was looking north from the lot. There is a house up on the side of that mountain in the distance with great view. Left of the pic was just unmowed grass going down slope to the road.
Here’s a couple more pics, one outlined the lot. The old water tank is gone. I’ve deleted most of the pics from my phone. Some regret not buying that property, but it is pretty remote out here. My property in VA much more accessible to stores and such, but further away. This lot was only 2 hrs from home vs 4 hrs.

When I see stories like the ones above. I am happy my neighbors get along pretty much OK.
Blessed to have good neighbors here. We used to have a neighbor that was a wee bit on the wild side.

My crazy neighbor just fired off a bunch of shots with what sounds like AR15 at close to midnight. Who does that at this time "target shooting" or just wake up the neighborhood?
Maybe some bad guys? Probably not, just being stupid/drunk.

Very sorry taking so long to reply. You have an over-producing parathyroid gland, making excess Parathyroid Hormone (PTH). Excess PTH will drive up your calcium. Once 12 or above, it can make bones brittle by trying to suck too much calcium out of them. Spontaneous fractures can occur (hip often). You are vulnerable to getting kidney stones. That tiny little gland on its way to causing a great deal of mischief for you. Pretty easy procedure to remove it. I will refer you to ENT to discuss surgery.

Your a very nice man sir, but my goodness you are getting a litany of medical problems. The horizon of health consequences is migrating closer. Please be sure to see nephrology. I am very happy to keep managing your diabetes, but maybe getting endocrinology involved in your care a good idea? They also manage hyperparathyroidism. I'd still be your PCP, but with the potential incoming storm, maybe recruit the experts?

I'm placing ENT referral. Let me know your thoughts on endocrinology. I would like to see you again in 6 to 8 weeks from now.

Thank you,

Erik Womeldorf

This is what I'm dealing with. Not a good day
Bupps and wife, prayers. Bupps, get onboard with the other doctors to help you. I know it's hard to fit medical stuff into our busy schedules.

Good Mor—-er… um. . .
Anywho…

Pre-Anniversary Warm Up Celebration Day, sortakinda hectic this morning what with Mom staying over etc.

Mrs and I drove into Georgia and went bowling. About an40 mile drive, because shortly after we moved here from No the local bowling alley&skating rink closed…

Mrs. Kicked my butt, but then again neither of us has bowled in about 12 years, and she was in a league for a number of years and I hadn’t bowled for another 20 years before that last time.

I am sure we will both feel it In The morning 😂🤣😂

picked up two hive top feeders as summer draws to a close — gotta so everything to keep the bees going through the winter. This week I will see if we can get any honey out of the stronger hive. Walmart is going to think I am running a still when I start buying all those 25- and 50-pound bags of sugar to make syrup to feed the bees…

tomorrow is a trip up to Tennessee to go to Buc-ees, wander around the tourist traps of Sevierville and Pigeon Forge, Mrs. Will get to use her Marshall’s gift card she got for Christmas, and the the Dolly Parton Pirates Dinner Show. Followed by a trip over the Smoky Mountains in the dark to get back home.

i hope everyone had a good day and that tomorrow will be even better and more blessed.
Late to the party, glad y'all had a great Happy Anniversary.
Not much of a bowler myself. like to do it about every 5 years or so.

The kidneys are a real problem damaged pretty good rest is hurry up and wait. There is a lot of planning that needs to be done which I have not done. Long road gentleman
More prayers my friend.

Txdon, thanks for info. My problem is in when around others talking. I cannot understand them if more than one person is talking.

NOT JOKING
Is there a medical term for that? I also find it difficult to follow more than 2 conversations at once.
Heck, I need them to slow down and emulate my Texas drawl, so I can understand. Do the hearing devices offer Texas Drawl translation???

Been a busy week. Never ending whack a mole I call it. Our old building, is so problematic, it costs us so many many hours with problems every week. It is 100 years old, built with 3 floors of concrete. Concrete columns, concrete walls, except for the dividing walls.

riptides, maybe I would throw in a bid...and buy a 1-2 million dollar place up there when done? sorry to make fun of you woes. Get a concrete coring company to come cut the holes, or slots, (like Sodamo did), then trench and put in the pipe/pump.

Scorpions are bad again. In the drought, the soil has pulled away from the foundation and has a 1" crack. Good hiding spots. After killing 4 in the house the last week, I went out and sprayed into the crack last night. Using my black light, I was spraying and stomping and smashing 'em. Probably killed 25 of them. Will check tonight.

Wife's birthday was last week on a weekday. I need to take her on a date. Special needs daughter's birthday is coming this Wednesday. Might do a 2fer and take them shopping and to eat.

Not going to lie, this job takes it out of me, but it is a blessing to share God's love with all the young smart people. They are supposed to hire a "mini me". Traction on that starts next week with a lunch interview. So by the weekend, I'm worn out. My legs and knees get so tired of standing. I have so much to do, but I just try to hit the moles that are sticking their heads up the highest here on the home front.

Popgadget, watch Clarkson Farms series if you want to see bureaucracy at it's worst. Really nice car. What year model is that?

Drew, our resident storm chaser! Sir, you might be getting sand out of places for weeks. Glad the storm wasn't too bad. Your reference to living on a boat...I'm sure it brought back many memories. I know I wouldn't want to sail on stormy seas. I'm a fair weather sailor.

Speaking of sailing...Watching the Sampson Boat series, I'm wondering if they ever will launch the Tally Ho....admittedly they have built a whole new boat, but 6 long years. I would have done things much differently to streamline labor/cost resources. Like polishing the bronze down in the bilge. I would have left that with a coating after a mild belt sanding.

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.9C and it's presently 11.6C (heading to a predicted 17C), it's calm with high cloud cover.

The blackwood branch was all taken care of in less than an hour. Isn't life good when you've got the right tools for the job, eh?

I'm off to Church in a half hour and then, as always, the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.

Evening all;
Didn't have much time this morning to go online. After breakfast ran down to a benefit tractor pull had to get down and signed in at 9AM. Pulled one of my brothers little WD45's in the 4500# and 5500# classes. Didn't great but not bad either a 7th in one class and 9th or tenth in the heavier class. Lots of IH 460 and 560's in the 5500# and 3-4 of the 460's got in the 4500# class.
My daughter got a video but the resolution when she shared it is terrible.

No mowing done today.
While enjoying leisurely coffee as it rained a bit I got a text from neighbor that he had decided to go look and possibly buy a Scag Z turn he had sent me the ad. Short discussion later it was decided I would go with him. Of course this was a trip to the other side of the island.
Very nice machine, 2019 Tiger Cat II with 50 hours. Bought by his FIL in South Dakota who died in less than year. Had it shipped here but overkill for his property. He did use it a couple times.
No rust, no issues. Priced right. Told my neighbor that if he had decided not to buy I would have.

Got it loaded on his trailer, shopping stop at Costco and home.

Drinking hot cup of coffee. 49° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 75° with clouds in late afternoon. While getting breakfast ready notices fridge temperature was above normal. Checked freezer temp. It was up to 31°F. Time to get rid of it. It had failed last spring the same way. Went over to Lowes with trailer. Got a new fridge. Two neighbors came over and removed old fridge and installed new one. Got neighbors new lawn area raked and ready for grass seed. No plans for today yet.
Put fresh bird seed in feeder after putting new plastic in. Frist bird to pose for a photo.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.
