57 going to 81.

Sodamo, I bet Keith really appreciates that you are a good friend and neighbor.

And he would be here to help me in a heartbeat. We are fortunate to have a circle of friends/neighbors like that. What’s interesting, but somewhat frustrating to me with Keith is he can’t talk and work, talk gets priority.

Good morning! 76˚ muggy.
I will be installing some hand rails in the bathroom today getting them prepared for post knee surgery, sure could have used them last time and will be prepared this time.

I put grab bars in all our bathrooms when we built the house. Mostly for Sophie, but I sure appreciate them and yes, very handy when I had my knees done.

safe and sound in Rodanthe NC, Camp Hatteras.
nice spot near the beach
will be interesting to see how many folks clear out ahead of bad weather coming in. I'm all hooked up, set up, wrapped up, ready for the storm

simply amazing new bridges and causeways coming over to OBX. Once I looked at Garmin and I thought it was a boat navplotter, had me out in the middle of this small sound. Where they built the new causeway I guess, Garmin not up to date.
does remind one how this whole area could just wash away in a really, really bad storm. Internet is 1/1...not sure how photos will upload.

did get a bike ride in, that was fun, but I was pretty tired. Will go out again on Sunday. Next two days are nothing but rain apparently.
40mph gust on side of me will definitely put a wiggle in my step
I pulled in the awning, that has to stay in also.

I forgot how much sand you track in. I brought my little Makita blower to clean off the rv steps, real trick is just take shoes off

tropical storm warning just posted. No surprise.
I'm just wondering where the bomb cyclones are...

Very sorry taking so long to reply. You have an over-producing parathyroid gland, making excess Parathyroid Hormone (PTH). Excess PTH will drive up your calcium. Once 12 or above, it can make bones brittle by trying to suck too much calcium out of them. Spontaneous fractures can occur (hip often). You are vulnerable to getting kidney stones. That tiny little gland on its way to causing a great deal of mischief for you. Pretty easy procedure to remove it. I will refer you to ENT to discuss surgery.

Your a very nice man sir, but my goodness you are getting a litany of medical problems. The horizon of health consequences is migrating closer. Please be sure to see nephrology. I am very happy to keep managing your diabetes, but maybe getting endocrinology involved in your care a good idea? They also manage hyperparathyroidism. I'd still be your PCP, but with the potential incoming storm, maybe recruit the experts?

I'm placing ENT referral. Let me know your thoughts on endocrinology. I would like to see you again in 6 to 8 weeks from now.

Thank you,

Erik Womeldorf

This is what I'm dealing with. Not a good day

I converted the house to handicap friendly with hand rails, grab bars. walk in shower no obstructions for wheel chairs, downstairs bed room etc Wife was in wheel chair after angle fracture and a needed knee replacement. She is back walking again but the handicap features really help her

Similar to what I got a couple of years ago, with mine it was just heart, lungs and prostate. Couple of bouts of heart congestion along with copd while getting radiation for prostate, then throw in afib and sleep apnea on top just for the heck of it. But still looking at the green side of the grass when I wake up, so all's good so far. :)

I’m also going to be in a camper in the rain this weekend. Along the Potomac in WV. Going with another couple. Calling for 1” rain Saturday.
I got camper checked out, hooked up and turned around, which I have to do in my yard.
Wife called about check in time, they said spot is empty, come any time. Wished I’d known, I’d left today. Down in the area of WV we almost bought land last year.
