Just spent more hours rearranging the garage to try and get access to the next wall for sheetrock. Maybe sneak in a dumpster, wife would really kill me.

Drew - we should see your missing kite up here soon ?

Good morning all. Glad you guys liked the pictures of the leaves changing. I will post that same shot again and maybe a week or two, and you won’t believe how lovely it will look!
Good Afternoon Check,
Yes, sorry I didnt mention that in my last post, lovely picture, and only to get much better in coming weeks ! Thanks for that lovely shot ! The maples offer the most vivid colors IMO ! Although a few other trees can also offer some spectacular color also !

Drew, really enjoyed those drone pictures, my oldest son has one and occasionally brings it to Vermont ! Always fun to see pictures from that perspective !

Today looks like some football, studying my German on Duolingo and possibly reviewing material for the hazmat test I will be taking this tuesday at the DMV !

All have a great day !

I'm on unit 11 on Duolingo German, Pearl league, where are you?
Good Afternoon Don,
I am in section 4 unit 30, Ruby League. I started back in 2018 before we went to Germany on a Viking river boat cruise. Thought it would be fun to learn some German before the trip, honestly by the time we went, I didnt know too much !:ROFLMAO: Here we are in 2023 and I am still at it ! My grand parents were German and came over to the states in 1923. I am still not fluent but certainly know enough to get by ! It is fun, and I try and put it in my daily routine !

ocean has calmed down
had a nice nap
had a problem with electric, went down to 100 volts and a/c cut out, as it should. I tried everything, saw it dip to 98, called office, they metered the pole, 117 and 117 at end of my cable. ??
more fooling around, guy said maybe my converter was flukey.
? 120V in, no converter on this but it all does pass through one spot.
all of a sudden a/c came back on and my voltmeter showed 121V.
Just like that. Suspicious and I have no idea what caused this.
a/c running just fine showing 118V under load.

this place is filling back up quickly now that weather has improved.
lot of big motorhomes and fifth wheel trailers, the latter just keep getting bigger. All the sites here are back in, makes for some entertainment watching others get their rigs in

64° and very humid at home.
Worship this morning with a very small congregation, we made up 1/3 of the attendance.
Then packed and made it home without incident. I do need to get new tires. These are original and are starting to show cracks on the side. I went the shorter route this time, over a couple pretty good mountains, wishing I had gone the 4 miles longer around them.
Backed camper in a different way, so I don’t have to drive in the yard. I need to add about 10 feet of gravel in this area to get it back further.
I also ran over some of her flopped over flowers to back it from main drive to the barn drive. Just not wide enough driveway there.

Tree changing quick.
Kitty on my lap.

new neighbor, very nice older couple, said they sold their home and are full timing it, for a little while. Guess they wanted a good one....Prevost based motorhome built in Texas, I'm sure close to a million dollars. Volvo D13
They bill themselves as the "value" Prevost. I guess that means one million instead of 1.5 million. ok

got the rv squirted off, cleaned the windows so I can see out of them tomorrow, put all the hoses away, running on tank water which is fine, I need to use it. Took a long shower earlier today and that will tide me over til next stop.

had a fun day today, did a lot of walking, am tuckered out.
but all good

tomorrow morning I head for Gloucester VA.

61°F and cloudy this morning, got up to 81° today.

Musician friend of mine got married Saturday. Wife and I went, if for nothing else than to take in the spectacle. It didn't disappoint. Nearly every local musician I know was there. Got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in years ... mostly because I'm a hermit, and just never go anywhere.

Got some boxes full of stuff in the garage sorted today, which has been sorely in need of doing, according to The Wife. This also required me to excavate some horizontal surface on the work bench. Seems like I just did that.

Happy (belated) birthday to Mrs_in_Tex.

Hope everyone is well.

Good evening, gents.

I have a buthead neighbor like that. After lots of drinking the guns and explosives come out. One time at 1 AM I awakened by a loud explosion. They raise and train Argentinian fighting dogs.
I have good neighbors too but this guy is the bad apple in the bunch. You can't pick your neighbors.
I can appreciate that. Our new neighbors - who are from Argentina - are breeding Argentine Dogos as well. Best guess is that they are up to about a dozen of them now. They've gotten aggressive enough at the fence line that my Wife started going out to the barn and pasture with a handgun prominently displayed on her hip. They kept their dogs away for a few weeks after that, but then they were right back at it again. We ended up having a six foot vinyl fence erected along that fence line, so she could take our dogs, as well as some of her training clients, out there without the distractions. That wasn't cheap.

They also have a miniature cow and bull in their front pastures. The bull, of course, is on our side, and has been slowly destroying the wire fence that's been there for 50+ years. My Wife had a chat with the neighbor lady, and told her they need to a) repair that fence before their bull (or dogs) get out, and b) put the electric fence left by the previous owner back up, which the bull also destroyed, to keep him from doing it again. That was about a month ago, and of course, they've done nothing.

This is the same family that can't seem to keep up with their property, so I really didn't expect much different.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 6.3C and it's presently 18.1C, overcast with a very light breeze. A wee bit of a shower predicted for later this arvo.

I reckon a bit of a house cleaning is in order... especially around Penelope the Pussybeast's food area. She has to 'fast' as of 2100 this evening as tomorrow I'm taking her into the Vet (between 0830/0900) for her teeth to be cleaned.

Spring temperatures are, typically 'all over the shop', so I've sweltered during the day keeping the woodfire going in anticipation of colder nights.

That's about it, take care all.

106˚ today and now its hailing. would not be surprised to have cracked windows, it sounds like someone is throwing rocks against the windows. 1.04" rain and hail in 30 minutes. Wind gust at 25mph. Love it, except for the hail, I hope the neighbors all got their cars in their garage.

Sorry for bad neighbors PJ. Nice motor home nicest I’ve ever seen Drew. Just not wife’s thing, getting ready for tomorrow

I recall in my younger days taking shelter inside the rear duals on an open station tractor when discing or plowing and a storm would come up.

Don, I was just about to ask how bad the hail storm was. Glad no major damage I hope. They are saying softball and grapefruit size just south of you where the storm is now. Looks like it will hit Austin area hard.

Wow, I'm not sure how much patience I would have with that situation. The problem would be because they have a pack of dogs, and pack mentality takes over at times. Your wife trying to train a dog would be something that could trigger them. Just being a strange dog. Bull getting out is bad too. Call cops, authorities, let them know. I wish these types of dogs were outlawed, just applying some common sense. Sounds like your neighbors have a "don't care" or lazy attitude towards the liability they harbor. Are they land owners or renters? Hope you can keep it safe. A dog like that coming at you would require a perfect shot. The kind of situation you would like a shotgun with BB loads.

Church was great today. Went to Whataburger afterwards, then wifey and I went shopping. Cost of grocery cart with no expensive meat was $255. OUCH. I don't know how they can say inflation is not that bad. I guess just like they did with alligator bites.
