Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

54.5F going to upper 70s, sunny all day.

getting ready for trek to Buc-ees and other anniversary festivities.

Wrist brace is back on for the first time in several weeks, mainly as a preventive measure for driving over the mountains (but I did feel a little twinge of the carpal tunnel numbness when I woke up - yay…).

looking forward to blowing up the diet tonight with an overload of gods bad Southern cookin’

Good Morning
It’s 49 and won’t make it to 70 today. Increasing clouds throughout the day, but dry. Tomorrow is a different story with the arrival of the tropical storm overnight, making the weekend and the farm open house a wash.
However Erica advertised it as rain or shine, not anticipating Drew’s weather. So there will be no tents, but I’ve got to clean up the garage, which will be a store over the weekend.

Yesterday was varied, started with honking up the Progressive mower, but grass was too wet, so went to look at Prius Prime (plug in Hybrid).

It was a low mileage used 2022, but I wasn’t impressed by the car or the dealer. I have had Prius’ for 18 years, and really like them, but never had a plug in. They are very hard to find, new or used, I have kept a eye out, and have let dealers know I’m a prospect. But it’s been a low priority for the last couple years.

I started mowing as soon as I got home, my help arrived shortly after I started.

He must have had a tough morning, he started veering off course,

He literally fell asleep on his feet standing in front of me steering the tractor. So I picked him up and he rode like this for over an hour.
He woke up when I shut down. He had some lunch and then we started on the Lazer.

As I was finishing I got a call from a Toyota dealer about an hour away. They just got a very low mileage Prius Prime Advanced (the highest trim level) in, and wanted to know if I was interested. Soooo…. I headed out to take a look at it. It literally looks like a new car, has the factory warranty, the price was fair, they weren’t gouging for the availability factor. Interior color has way too much white for a slob like me, but I bought it any way.

So it was a pretty busy day, all things considered. I’ll have to get Erica to take me to the dealer next week to pick it up next week, after she is over the stress of the monsoon open house, which I have to get help get ready for today.

Txdon, thanks for info. My problem is in when around others talking. I cannot understand them if more than one person is talking.

Is there a medical term for that? I also find it difficult to follow more than 2 conversations at once.

Morning all 52 going up to 72 and sun is up, waiting for the weekends rains.
Got another sheetrock panel up after a few hours of cleaning the garage from minisplit install and painting a few things for the wife.

Old boiler scheduled for removal on the 16th of October, it just does not want to leave

Got last of the figs, deer, wasps, birds all having a field day over by the fig tree.

Congrats on the new car Popgadget

I have very good hearing, if 2 conversations or more I have trouble following any conversation.

The new boiler throws off almost no heat at all, the basement is much cooler. It is barely running now for hot water, hoping this saves a lot of oil.

Gas mid grade $4.55 this morning

My son has that issue. But he has really liked his Costco hearing aids. He recently got a new pair and said they are much better than the last. Like Don said, they keep improving all the time.

The kidneys are a real problem damaged pretty good rest is hurry up and wait. There is a lot of planning that needs to be done which I have not done. Long road gentleman

Good morning! Muggy 76˚F heading to the mid 90s. out 20% chance of rain went down to 5%. Never got to installing the rails yesterday and with a full day lined up. it will not be today either. The surgery is not till the end of November so there is plenty of time.
