I like macaroni and cheese alright, but my wife LOVES that stuff. I think she'd have it for every meal if I allowed it. BUT as we've gotten older, slower, and lazier, it's now Velvetta Shells and Cheese here, and we ALWAYS have it on hand.

We will make the Velvetta and Rotelle dip from time to time.

Mowing done for the day. Now I’m charged to making a veggie dish to go with the stuffed crab. I noticed some tomatoes and eggplant in the garden area.

Ted, that lean to is like what I envision. I need to verify my dimensions and research a bit. Maybe a fair priced kit would be better than David Design.

For the rash, back in '11 I had poison oak real bad and my doctor prescribed Triamcinolone Acetonide cream USP, 0.1%. Twice a day after gentle scrubbing with as hot a water temperature as I could stand. Cleared up in a little less than a week. Got a few dots of it now, and they were gone in just a few days.

Yep, Good old Nystatin cream, my late wife made sure there a couple of tubes around the house. It’s great for a wide variety of skin conditions.

I'm beginning to feel like those guys on Hee Haw, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all." The doctor recently told me I have the beginning of Alzheimer's which I can't say surprised me. Anyway, he's prescribed a couple of medications that he says slow the progression. And I definitely know that I'm getting weaker and with less strength all the time, although I know from reading on TBN, particularly in this thread, that, unfortunately, many of you are in worse health than I am.

But this past week I was up on the ladder, which my wife objects to me doing anymore, cleaning out the rain gutters that get filled with catkins and leaves from that blankety blank live oak tree in the front yard. I still say that hanging would be too good for anyone who planted a live oak tree within a hundred yards of a house. Anyway, while I was on the ladder, I saw something that really scared me; looks like I'm probably going to need a new roof. I had a roofer here today and I've called my insurance company to send their expert to appraise the condition.

Oh well, life goes on. Reminds me of something I heard on TV on Gunsmoke. The guy said, "We're born wet, naked, and hungry, then things get worse."

Cold and windy 44F. I was going to mow this afternoon but I decided to heck with it. Too cold.

How about this for a first of spring? The first spot of poison ivy. Right on my wrist between my cuff and glove. Dog gone spot itches. Woke me up itching the last two nights. It usually doesn't bother me this much. I've still got to figure out how to move the poison ivy tree that is leaning over the lane.

You've inspired me with the lawn aerating ... think I'm going to rent one here at some point in the coming days.

It's never been done here since the lawn was put in (back in '69) and it surely needs it.

Got a really really heavy duty pallet from work today. None of the planks are less then 1¼" thick. I'm going to use this for the front blade during warmer months and for the bucket during the snowy seasons when the blade is on the tractor.
Since I now have a self leveling loader (really nice feature!), I think it's time I invest in a set of pallet forks

I think you'll find them very handy.

Would be nice to have a self-leveling loader to be sure ...

Fish all fed (except for Round 2 for the fry and juveniles), hopper, two sunflower tube, two suet, and squirrel feeders refilled.

Some progress on paperwork accomplished, along with further mower research.

If only they could be trained to like dandelions over hosta ...

Good evening all. 51F for the start, overcast, light breeze. Moderate wind today, sky overcast all day, and high temp was 60F. Slow start, fixed flat on Volagi, was caused by small metal shard, and it took longer to find than the patch and replace portion of the repair. Bike ride to test it out, and nap.

On my field check this morning I heard a lamb calling for it's mum. Not an unusual sound at this time of year, except this one was lying on it's side in a pool of blood. As I got closer a pair of ravens flew away. They had done too much damage for any chance of recovery, all I could do was shoot the lamb.

Eric, SSS. Shoot shovel shutup. If the townspeople complain, make them a raven meat pie and don't tell them what's in it. Sorry about your lamb. I would be shotgun mad.

Another co-worker from the past just died. I was friends with both him and the wife years ago (divorced). Nice guy, too bad I lost touch with him except on Linked in.

Been busy at work. Owner bringing me gov't work on the side too, can't say no. He's been good to me.

I have a HF china 6hp mower on my tiller. The muffler rusted out, and the airbox is cracked. I found the 2 items on Amazon for about $30. Will put them on for the weekend. I hope it rains tomorrow like they say it might. I still have cracks in my lawn from last year.

Get this, my daughter planted a mango seed in a flower pot last year, which sat on my back porch outside during the freeze in Feb. I thought "that's a goner". Well, it has about a foot tall pencil thin stalk, and now has 2 big new green leaves. Surprised me. The bamboo is growing back across the highway about 1/4 mile away from me.

The Steiner Beast has a 72" front finish mower deck, which has a large steel, rear roller. The 1" flange bearings need replacing, they came in, so I will replace them this weekend.

I want some Milwaukee cordless tools. Problem is, they make so many, (all not created equal) and I have watched about 10 videos to try and wade through the mire and figure out what I need. I want a small light impact, a cordless ratchet, and a bigger impact. Homey Depot has a special where if you buy $499 worth or more, you can get $150 back. But these are bare tools, no batteries. Doing more research. Mfg item numbers are the only way to discern because many look the same. Brushless, not brushless, etc....

You might want to consider buying one...they're not that expensive and you can use it at your leisure. IIRC, paid about $225 or so for mine...

I've looking online for pallet forks now...both new and used. Looks like most are skid steer type mounting. I don't have that, but looking into my options
