Good morning, a little cool out at 19°F and the high will be 43. Wind W 5 mph. 30% chance of rain or flurries.

There is about 1/2" of snow on the Dodge and the deck.

I am off to Burks Falls today to pick up my new power washer and some carriage bolts. I'll get fuel down there mainly because it is 5 cents/Litre cheaper than SR. That works out to .189/gallon cheaper for the same brand (shell) and I will be there anyway.

Have a safe day all

good morning all. Temps right around freezing, weather station says 27, Wunderground says 35....??
Of all the things I thought would be accurate on this weather station (Accurite) temp was the one I thought would
be reliable. I don't see any frost on garage roof so hoping I can avoid damage this morning. Looking forward I see two days in the low
80's. So I'm hoping this morning is last of cold weather. Supposed to be low 50's and windy today.

Shoulder is getting worse every day, had to take a pain pill yesterday afternoon, can't wait until next Tuesday and get this fixed.

Toppop, hope you are feeling better this morning. Lots of prayers sent your way.
Ted, same for your knee, just doesn't seem to want to cooperate with you does it.
Bill, prayers for your DIL and your own well being.

Buppies, 32 and 50s with a side order of wind here, too. Lots of heavy frost.

Mowed almost 4 hours in the wind yesterday. Got plenty covered up with grass and pollen.

Good morning, after a cool night that went down below freezing we now have an abundance of sunshine to encourage some grass growth.

Every time I remove the loader, I’m very glad that I sprung for the hydraulic quick connect when I ordered it
Popgadget, I have a similar arrangement with flat face couplings for disconnecting loader and a small one at the front of the loader for the 3rd service for the bucket. Makes it a lot easier and less messy to get the 4-in-1 bucket on when the sun has pressurised the oil in the bucket hose. On my previous tractor I often had to poke in a wooden dowel and tap it with a hammer before connecting up. Only downside it that without the regular oiling my hands are not now as soft :)

Eric, do the ravins actually attack the lambs or is there something wrong with the lambs and they take advantage?
Ravens have only spread to this area in recent years, so am still learning about their behaviour and what they are capable of. It is certainly possible that the lamb they attacked had something wrong before I got there, however it's front legs looked to have good mobility while they were eating it alive from the rear.

Project for today is to make a small MK1 fish refuge from some left over roll of stock fence.

Good morning all

28 now highs in the low 40’s early sun clouding up by noon. Winds WNW 20-30 with gusts around 40 mph.
(pick up sticks has grown old)

Not a lot been going on just enjoying life.
We looked at a couple of kittens but nothing really clicked. They usually pick us and it didn’t feel right this time. It will happen eventually.

The last little bit of rain and snow jump started the perennial garden, didn’t loose as many plants as I first thought. Found the old control panel I had built years ago for the drip irrigation system.
Unfortunately mice thought it would make a good home, it now resides at the dump.

Not much planned for today just let the day happen. Roast chicken and a cold beer or two this evening.

Prayers for those who need them
Enjoy your day everyone

Good Morning
It’s 33 with a high of 45 expected with clear skies and bright sun.
Drew, the lowest temp here was 32.1 at 6am. Both the Tempest and Davis stations are in agreement about that.

Yesterday I did get all the mowing in before the front came through with heavy rain and plunging temperatures. Somehow, I managed to knock one of the anti-scalp wheels off the front of the deck, snapping the shoulder bolt that mounts it. Noticed that the next wheel over had a bent shoulder bolt as well. My neighbor has an ExMark dealership about 25 miles away, I called and asked him to bring home the parts for me. The parts that he brought don’t fit, but are supposed to be the correct ones for my serial number.
I did get the crossover and input plate built for the speaker in progress as well as getting some finishing work done on the box itself.

Youngest son and I made a batch of Cheddar and Ale soup, which is about 2 gallons. So overall it was a productive day.

Today I’ll try to chase down the correct parts for the Lazer and then back to the shop to keep me busy for the rest of the day.

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 4:30AM. Partly cloudy skies. High 81F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Rain still looks likely for Saturday night into Monday morning, but the amount is now less than an inch. Maybe it'll be enough to settle the dust, but at least the temperatures will be dropping into the 70s and humidity returns.

Sorry to hear about the lamb, Eric. I suppose it's illegal to shoot ravens, even if caught in the act? Was any of the meat salvageable?

Kind of a blah, frigidity day yesterday. Fever and chills on and off, muscle aches, helped by ibuprofen. Not really sick, just off, not up for yard work, but did take care of a number of little, irritating, jobs. Never seem to run out of those, kind of like wack-a-mole. Feel more like my usual self this morning. Kind of glad I had a reaction this time, as with the first dose it wasn't clear that the vaccine had made any difference. No doubt about that now.

Front diff for the VW is ready to ship, the builder just needs to finish his roofing project. Should have it back by the end of next week. Also found a neat idea for using one of the rear air vents to mount a shore power outlet. I think I can fab a more robust version, though.

Hope to get some gravel down and wood moved around and tarped today. We'll see. I'd also like to do more clearing, but CalFire is saying there's still elevated fire danger with temps in the 80s and humidity dropping into the teens. Rain over the weekend will help that, for a little while anyway.

Hang in there gang, Friday's comin'!
