None.....my facial hair is a little to coarse & can't shave well with one

Tried Braun, Panansonic, & Norelco. Tried the round disk types & the foil types. Tried medium cost - to very expensive. None did good enough to keep sadly. Disposable cartridge ultimately faster and better shave for me. For last few years I've just kept a real close clipped beard so I just shave my neck. Am loving that as it is a huge morning timesaver.

Of all the different ones I tried, the Panasonic was the best performer overall for speed, closeness of cut, & holding a charge. It still wouldn't get some places good enough, but had high hopes for it. Forget specific model # but was $250ish at bed, bath, beyond, had a foil head with 3 cutters, and was self cleaning.

Add a little Cremo Shave Cream (More like a shaving soap not a foam.) for a slick, close shave.

I'm the OP and from all the comments and suggestions investigated Braun and Panasonic. Braun was what I planned to go with but there were some unhappy comments. Since I was already unhappy with my current rotary razor, I decided to go with Panasonic and below is what I bought for around $90. It's made in Japan and is beautiful.

It shaves terrific and way better than expected. I'm thrilled and wouldn't mind even if I had to buy replacement blades every now and then. Thanks to everyone.

How does it do at bottom of your neck? My Panasonic has a similar style head as pictured in amazon link. In some spots it worked fine, but there was no angle, no way to stretch my skin, no way to align Jupiter with Mars while standing on one foot and get it to shave well below the jaw bone. Gave to a buddy of mine who is of different ancestry than I am - he's more of a Native American & N. European mix. He really likes it & his facial hair is fine/thin enough it does well for him. Benefits of not having your last name end in a vowel I guess....

Bought a new Norelco rotary and it tears me up. Went back to my old (40+) year old Norelco for the comfort. I do sharpen the blades on an Arkansas wetstone, once in a while.

Still have a Phillips that worked OK when new, but upon changing the head it did not cut as well. Changed to a Braun and never looked back.

Used Remington in my 20s, often had razor burn. Went to Philips, had battery issue with first one, replaced battery under warranty, it lasted many years. Replaced with another Philips, changed blades a few times, got a new one, then 2-3 years ago, thought I would try Braun, only used it perhaps a year, went back to Philips, agree they are not as good as 20 years ago, but they work better for me than the Braun.

I am sticking with my $38 Chinese Phisco. Best electric razor I have ever owned. Far better than all the Norelco's and Remingtons in the past.

I can't imagine (unless forced into it for medical reasons...) anyone preferring an electric over a blade.

In spite of my doctors direction after a medical procedure last year, I kept using my blade. That's how much I despise electrics! :shocked:
