I can carry over a yard in my PT1850's bucket. It is a very efficient loader.

The powertrac is 1850 is rated for 1200 pound lifting capacity. Either it’s good for about 3 time that or you aren’t scooping and carrying 1 yard plus of dirt. I don’t just have it out for PT but I think they have a long way to go before they’re a viable candidate for replacing compact tractors or regular size skid steers.

Dirt, I can carry over 1/2 yard. But you also have to take into account maneuverability, direction change, etc. I have owned plenty of CUTs that could carry twice what my PT does but I can out bucket them easily. But I can not come close to their ability to plow.

The Bobcat telehandlers with a 3pt on the back end are the ones I envy. Just way out of my price range.

I would be bothered by a 3ph mounted tool that I can't look over my shoulder and see in operation. Using a harley rake would not even be possible.

I can't stand the tiny buckets most CUTs come with. What size bucket does the PT1850 have. Must be at least 3/4 of a yard for you to carry a yard an not spill much.

Tractor buckets usually leave a lot of room for improvement. On top of that the design sucks. The deep bottom short back skid steer buckets are a lot better.

Totally agree. That’s why a bought one. Although it’s not as low in back as the typical SS bucket, I can see the front edge and that’s not possible with the stock bucket. I think most CUTs buckets are short bottomed because many CUTs have weak curl cyclinders.

That’s an easy fix. I was thinking because it would limit dump height. In either case the deep bottom buckets work a lot better.
