\Has anyone built their own wooden chainsaw case/box? I'm trying to plan out a box that will carry two saws, bar oil, gas, scrench, chains, etc. to carry in the woods in/on my Kubota.
Well, TEACH, I strongly suggest you make something that is not specific
to your saws, so you can carry anything.
I can carry both of my saws in my removable tool carrier, QA-mounted to
my hood's protection rack. My big saw has a 24" blade and it sticks out a
bit, but I can actually carry both saws at once. My small Makita is in the
photo. I usually carry only one saw, and sometimes gas, oil, chains, and
a snatch block at the same time.
Removability is good since I don't want the box mounted when working in
the rain, as I need to now to clear a mudslide.
