Here is the DR ripper on my BX25. The existing pins are not long enough, but the unit will work fine with 6" pins in place.

Excellent work Ryan! Where did you find your 6' pins at?
Looks like a cheap but good solution!
Thanks for the update

Forgot to ask - how is the quality? Looks pretty decent? With having to get new pins would you recommend it?
THANKS

Quality of this thing looks great. Very meaty unit.

The photo shows the ripper on the tractor with the "too short" original pins. I went to a heavy equipment dealer yesterday and they didn't have any small pins. I did not realize how much these pins cost...wow. The parts guy gave me a lead on a place that might help so I went by and they also did not have small enough pins, but said they have used bolts in their place before.

I bought a couple of 1" x 7.5" bolts from them ($52) and thought my problem would be solved. The bolts go through the ripper holes but not the dipper hole on the Bota. Crap, I am stuck again.

Still on the hunt, but if I can get this resolved for $50-60 it is still a heck of a deal as it looks every bit as good as the Bro-tech unit at $300.

That is awesome - the one thing is we could use a few more photos..... Ok, sorry had to ask!

If you find pins please let us know where and such as you pretty much convinced me to order one next month.
Thanks for the updates

I gotta chime in here too... I am in the market for a ripper for my BX too! Definitely keep us posted on the pin solution.

I need to get a new HVAC system for the house or I would have ordered one already. That is sweet.
Just thinking out loud - Seems the pins could be turned down from larger stock (maybe a machine shop). The other thought is there a way to cut the mount down and reweld it narrower or something like that?

Will you have to bush the pins due to the longer length required. Wondering if it is a sloppy fit side to side?

Here's a possible solution: contact Dr. and see what they might do to supply some pins for the ripper. If you give them the engineering drawing of your dipper stick, I'm sure they could make some pins and then offer them to other Kubo owners who buy the ripper. It would be to everyone's best interest to do so.

Think I would think twice about using bolts as the threaded end might cut into the bh arm if you don't bush it.
