Battery powered chainsaw

I also use my T435 one-handed when limbing, but it's very unsafe, as it's impossible to control kickback with just one wrist. If you don't believe me, I have a scar in the midddle of my head to prove it. Thankfully my baseball hat and a quick trigger finger were enough to prevent more serious damage.

I still do it, but with much more care with what direction kickback could carry the saw, should it happen again. We all do our best to avoid contact with the deadly zone that is the upper quadrant of the bar tip, but when fighting through a mess of branches on a downed tree, these things can happen.
I find my AP battery pole saw ideal for trail and perimeter clean up and keeps me in the safe zone and no bending easier on my back.

Hurricane Sandy passed right over our house in 2012, turning the whole area into what looked like a post-war zone. I spent at least 5 - 6 years cleaning up giant oaks and ash that blew down in that storm, and were all propped atop one another like big Ø40 inch x 200 foot pickup sticks.

As I was setting up for various cuts, I remember my old friend saying, "I won't blame you if you chicken out, I already did." :ROFLMAO: He's the one that gave me the idea to start using a pole saw for some of these really nasty cuts, where the tree was under less-predictable tension.

I use mine like a lance knowing it’s limitations.

One very good feature given the prevalence of poison oak wrapped around the oaks and my susceptibility is the pole saw provides distance…

My brother had the largest gas Stihl pole saw which I borrowed once and it did a great job but totally wore me out as I had it fully extended.

I used the electric saw while "up the tree" on spikes ,seat and flip line. The battery ran down before I did, (and I'm OLD!)
I have the Echo DCS-2500T (56V battery with 2.5Ah) and it astounds me how long the battery lasts and what a good cutter it is.
It's so light I keep having to remind myself it's not a toy.

The city following its own rules is now using Stihl backpack batteries for string and brush trimmers…

We are on the verge of bankruptcy but can afford nearly 3k to outfit battery power to vegetation management crew members.

Ideology, even when it leads to bankruptcy.

I'm a tool-a-holic. If there were meetings here I'd go..."hello, I'm fuddy, and I'm addicted to tools".
I just see them as yet another variety of must have tools. Everything has their merit and application. I have a variety of air tools that sit gathering dust because battery equivalent ones are just so easy and fast.
I have this Toro 16" push mower my Grandfather bought in the 1960s. It uses a 12 volt car battery.

The idea is a bailout is around rather corner or add to bond debt or sales tax…

Charter cities have even sold city hall to raise short term cash.
