Battery minder

I got a couple of those Battery tender units. But they do not seem to keep the battery charged. Battery is 3 years old Sears Diehard . Any one have a thought about why ?
Regular charger charged it up. I guess I could load test it and see if the battery is bad.

We have had a small solar battery maintainer on our emergency generator for 4 years now and it has worked fine except for the time that a squirrel ate the lead on top of the pump house.
Bought it at Northern Tool for 10$ and haven't had any complaints. Also have on on my JD and 87 F-150.

I like the CTek battery charger/maintainers.

I have one and it maintains everything from atv batteries to my deep cycle on my trailer.

I also have a honda branded charger/maintainer. It works good too, but it charges the deep cycle much slower than the CTek.

I have 3 different kinds/brands. They all keep the battery up to charge.
Do you think there is something drawing more power than the charger can put out. Try disconnecting the positive side and put a test light between the two connections. If it lights brightly or stays lit softly you have a voltage draw somewhere. Computerized vehicles will draw all the time though so you have to know your vehicle. Can you check the level of the electrolyte in the battery.
