    I have a few more minor projects. Some landscaping and another sun shade. The thing I have enjoyed that freaks my wife out is using my outdoor shower when it is 25 degrees outside. Needless to say I am pretty quick going back inside.

    18 x 25 carport installed. They built it like they were fine furniture craftsmen. Maybe a slight exaggeration. They did take great pains to keep everything square and level. Super organized and in 2.5 hours they were complete.

    When I showed my 3 sons what 64 year old dad had done, the reply was you had a tractor. I explained I had to stand them up straight to hook up the sling and they were heavy treated and wet. I am not sure they always appreciate my projects. 😀 One day they will. My 90 year old dad does.

    Original 4 x 6 posts were attached to a sunsail. When we had a 40-60 mph Storm they moved. I had them in about 2’ with concrete but the ground was softer than I thought. New 6 x 6 posts are over 3’ with more concrete. They should never move!

    Dropped another 16 tons of gravel for the carport base. I let it sit with the clay I brought in for a few months. The carport should be there in January. It will be 18x26x8. This gives me a center height of 11’3”.

    I don’t know if I pointed out that I used Galvanized lag bolts, not Zinc in the treated wood.

    I will have them install it. Seems like all of the companies include free freight and installation. 25’ panels can be a lot to handle if there is any wind. I have installed 25’ panels on my lean to we built and it was hard to not bend them.

    Fun day. I had no idea that the ground was so hard in that part of the yard. 9" auger to start and get depth. 12" to finish and open up the hole. One side done, hope to do the other side next weekend.

    Brought the bush hog home. It is beat and needs to be refurbished. I delivered 2 6x6x24’ to start the next project. I am adding another metal carport this winter. This will be my base.

    I had to go to 3 stores to find fire ant killer. It seemed to work pretty good. It was a fine powder and they said to apply it like a powdered donut.

    It was as slow as a turtle until I watched a YouTube video and using a tie wrap on the governor it now runs over 20. I need to GPS it. It could go even faster but I don’t want to hit the Rev limiter.

    I ran into a plumbing problem when I tested my washer dryer. Several failures. On spin cycle it sounded like a machine gun. Also there was a drain backup. I tried to snake the lines but I couldn’t get past a tight p trap. I am going to locate a local plumber.

    Beautiful! I am afraid the bowling Alley’s are going synthetic laminates down from the 2 1/2” to 3” (?) hardwoods. From my 7/8” to a 1/4” veneer. Very cool.

    I am enjoying running the PEX. With my limited access and the size of the Apollo Crimper Tool, you do have to always be a few steps ahead in your installation.
