What implement best for turf grading with compact tractor?

All 3 post above are good ideas. The Harley Rake works really really well, but its pricy. Since you already have turf your going to have to be careful that whatever you dig with can do something with the root mass. The suggestions above will handle the roots pretty well. The tiller or rotor...

That depends on the insurance program that was selected for the cargo. Some plans will have the haulage rates of the surviving cargo raised to help cover the cost.

What do y’all attach to your front tow hook?

Other than using it to attach a cable or tow rope I cannot think of any other use for the setup. As already pointed out a pin and clip and your good to go.
  133. R

If you had doubts about pull ropes...

If it stretches it can hurt you on the snap back. That’s why there is a difference between slings and snatch ropes. Even chains will stretch then break. It’s just hard to tell unless you look closely at the links.

    What tool do I need?

Pine straw rake sounds good. Landscape rake is stiffer and depending on terrain could be fine. The landscape rake often times works good on driveways and arena use. I would think a drag harrow would clog up and be difficult to “unload “ the raked up hay

Filling a Hundred Holes (6-feet across, 4-feet deep)

Excavators are a great multi purpose tool. I think thats why we are seeing so many of them. For actual grade work they are no where near what I would prefer. If it was on the job and was the tool at hand, I also would be working the heck out of the excavator.

Might check around and hire a good grader operator. They can move a lot of dirt short distances and do so fast. Leaves a level surface. Also can do ditching, and build many types of embankments.

I replaced it with a much better hitch. Replaced the jack also. Safety chain attachment also changed out. This chain attachment sure beats the weld on bent pins that I have seen in use. Way better than actually welding the chains on, which I think will not pass a inspection.
