Not sure it helps but, I am running a Kubota with hydrostatic clutch and have found out that I can turn off the tractor engine, and the pto shaft is really easy to turn by hand about a quarter of a turn right or left. Makes a huge difference on lining up the shafts.

More power to the end of the pro shaft or tires to the ground with manual. But when doing grading dirt work or any activity requiring a lot of back and forth work a HST really shines. Worth every penny, so much more efficient and less tiring than the gear setups.

Your mailing a mark sounds the way to go. Two marks if needed. Paint can be applied, wiped off while leaving it in the milling. Different color of paint if needed.

Articulating front loaders are common here in the USA. They run for decades with no pivot point issues. I would think the tractors in the OP just are not made well enough for a front loader. They seem designed to meet certain needs and appear to be good at doing so.

I will agree with the control comment. I usually use my PTO 2 point Aulger with the tractor at idle and its still plenty fast, if not to fast many times. Roots will get you into trouble fast for example.

Keeping the front a bit lower also helps since your only cutting the weeds once. If its level or high in the front your cutting more and needing more power to do so.

The chains usually have nothing to do with the top link when I have seen them used. Look at post number 6 and you will see where chains are used. Chains used in this configuration allows the deck to pivot up a LOT. But your still able to lift the deck up and tilt it up if you wish.

This is what I have done to make it easier to hook up the ring types. Pulled back the ring and drilled a 1/8 hole. Insert a clip or whatever, install on tractor, pull out clip. So much easier.

1200 pounds or so setting mostly on the 1/2 ton pickup tailgate. Had the rear squatting down pretty good. At least the plastic jugs up front were corralled up. Box stores seem to be a common place for interesting loads.

Well they used a couple of straps but did not bother at all to tie down that ice chest on the other side. Easy to loose one that way. Back of the one ton flat bed pulling this trailor had no side rails of any kind and was covered with a assortment of floor jacks, shovels, hand tools and what...

I purchased plates that easily bolt and unbolt on to the ends of my grader blade. Works great and provides most of the function of a box blade. Actually added a setup to use the teeth from my box blade and now rarely use the box blade.

Need to be real careful using that setup. Not sure the RPM rating on that old spindle is sufficient for reeling that line in and out.
