If there is no clack check the injection pump solenoid thermistor. It should be behind the fuse box. The solenoid activates the injection pump. It does not shut off the fuel.

Another question. When the key is turned on can you hear the injection pump solenoid clack? If not check or replace the thermistor that controls solenoid amperage. It should be in a wiring bundle behind the fuse block. They are under ten dollars.

There are also times the when the load is moving and traction gets lost that with the HST you can back off but keep the rpm’s and available torque up.

Either you apply full torque almost instantaneously ( clutch ) or it can be applied as needed to retain traction as with an HST.

Cultivation and then smoothing is about all that can be reasonably done to smooth a rough lawn. Dirt can be spread but it takes a lot to be able to work it properly smooth. Consider reducing the size of lawn by converting some of it to native grass/flower cover and not mow it.
