Decided to pull the plug on a new 2026 Ferris ISX 2200 ZTR Mower. Deck is 60". Engine is a Kawasaki 30.5 hp. The frame has suspension in each corner, as well as an adjustable high back suspension seat. There are 2 gas tanks. The dealer is the largest Ferris dealer in Wisconsin. He can't keep them in stock. A trick of his is to hold a weekend auction where the prices rise above the normal retail when several bidders are working against each other to get one of the last ones. I did not go to the auction.

There are now 2 left. They are assembling mine now. Should get it delivered next week.

You're going to love it! I have a 2100 with 61" and Kawi 30hp. Rise like a dream without the suspension seat.

That sounds like a really nice mower. I have a 26hp Kawasaki engine on my 60 inch Scag mower and it has all sorts of power. 30hp is going to be even better!!!!

Does Ferris support that engine? Mine is a Scag and there isn't any sort of information on parts for the engine from Scag. I have to search Amazon for parts for that engine when I need something. It's been very frustrating.

Do you mind sharing what you paid for your mower?

You bought a very nice mower !
I have mowed quite a bit with both Ferris and Kubota, the inside of the deck on the Ferris is much smoother so cleaning it is usually much easier.

Ferris supports the Engine. There are at least 3 different engine options available. Mine is the middle choice. The top choice is a 40 hp big block vanguard. Maybe ok for a 72" mower deck, but not a 60" deck. All in, out the door and delivered to my house, my mower was just under $12,400. The dealer buys and sells lots of Ferris and gets a good price on them.

That's a better price then I expected. I paid almost $9,000 for my Scag back in 2010 and that was painful. I've seen some zero turns going for more than twice that recently, so $12,000 doesn't seem too bad for what you got!!!

My first five years where great. Then I had electrical gremlins that ruined every year of mowing. Last couple years I had fuel issues. I finally realized that I could buy a brand new replacement carburetor for less than $100 from Amazon that solved all my issues. This year has been flawless. It's really nice being able to start it and mow when I want to!!!

Keep us updated on your mower. I'll never buy Scag again because of all the little issues I've had with it. Ferris might be a good option when I finally give upon it and buy something else.

The first dealer I approached was over $16k delivered for the identical machine.

Mowers are insane nowadays. I bought my X-One for $8500, 8 years ago. That was a lot. Now, with 300 hours and excellent condition... It's worth about the same. That mower is now like $13k.

My car is worth about $5k

I looked at a Ferris ISX2200 at the dealer earlier this Spring but I couldn't justify the price. I ended up buying a 2 year old one for half the price. 850 hours on it but since I'm not mowing commercially it should last me a lifetime.

You may already know this, but blow off off the hydro fans after each mow.

The dealer gave me a whole 2 gallons of gas to get going. Just have to now buy 10-12 gallons to top it off. I wonder if Rolls Royce cars are sold new with a gallon of gas to get going. Back in 1967, my parents bought a new Ford Mustang. We ran out of gas driving it to the gas station on the way home. Bad ju ju.

Haha yeah, I had to "borrow" money from my girlfriend (now wife) to put gas in my 80' Capri Turbo RS after leaving the dealer lol. Was cash poor!

I have a Simplicity Citation XL with a 28hp Briggs and 60" deck with the full suspension. It's just soooo cool to ride it full throttle and full speed across the front field ! Like the Merc' used to be! lol

Congrats Yooperdave on your new Ferris - they are great machines and you got a great deal and price.

I got the similar Ferris IS2000 with Kawasaki, and high back seat in 2010 new for $7200.

With inflation, $7200 is $11K today, enjoy your new ride!
