Interesting, the updated XIX is quite a deal I would say. Many improvements over the one I sold earlier this year. Now available from Walmart 🤨 for $12,999!

I just went into the Typhon website and couldn’t find anything on their hydraulics like you mention.
There are several Utube vids that show the final drives, and mention the cushion valves.

It looks like the final drives in the vendor video here have enclosed planetary gear boxes. It also lists "Two-way relief rotary motor" in the description.

It's on their website and here too - as I posted above - you need to click the link and then scroll down the page and read etc, You will see a rabbot/turtle switch too on controls.

Yup. Saw all that now. Not sure which Typhon site I visited but I didn’t see any of that.

Makes the machine a very compelling option.

They also have the biggest X2 Storm for $17,998. It’s a nice one.

...and I really like that they reinforced the thumb on the new XIX. I bent the one on my earlier XIX model digging up a stump. I ended up selling it before I could fix it but it looks like the Typhon (or Vote/Huayee) guys are learning and making improvements. BTW, and for what it's worth, I still like my Bull (Hightop) unit but I think Vote is better quality. If I was in the market, they would be high on my list.

I looked at the detailed description on the website and eBay listing, and it seems there is a single-speed piston motor in the final drives. You can clearly see oil fill and drain ports on the drive gearboxes.

Pix of the triple hyd pump look like gear pumps. I wonder how they achieve the load-sensing they claim.

If I were a buyer, I would ask the importer in LA to provide a lot more info on the hydraulic system, including a schematic.

DF - Good point, and I did ask the Typhoon rep the same question and details on the Hyd system. All I got was its a three pump system with load sensing valves, and a separate piston pump for the drives.

I asked about the rabbit switch on the console, and also the total flow rate of the pumps, They stated 35LPM for the main pumps and could not answer the flow rate for the rotary drive pumps.

This IMO is typical, they upgrade the machines in the factory weeks or months before marketing gets the details, then the final detail filters into the marketing dept and out to customers. Same as any mfg operartion.

That being said, I agree, a direct connection with Chris at Typhoon in China would be suggested to verify, They are very good at replying when asked directly but they arent the Mfg co as Typhon doesn't build the machines, they are a reseller there and use many of the same suppliers as Huayee etc.

They are all in the same Shandong province/area so share suppliers,

Hmm. A piston PUMP, too? That sure differs from anything they said on the website. My guess is the guy or gal you spoke with does not know. A separate piston pump for the fixed-displacement drive motors would be great.

Now, I admit that I did not get a good look at the pump(s) and valves in the videos I saw, but so far, the only load-sensing I have seen on any 1-2T Chinese minis is a dual-chamber gear pump with RV between the chambers.

And you are right, the factory (whoever they are) is making constant changes, and poorly communicating them to their many resellers. Plus, technical details have always been hard to get, and things are definitely getting more complicated. I would love to take one of those apart.

Note that just a year ago, the Typhon Terror XIX still had geroler final direct-drive motors.
