BX 25 Is there a cover that will cover everything including backhoe?

Hi,
I would like to get a cover that will cover the whole tractor for the times I may need to leave it outside for extended periods. My large equipment I don't worry about it as they have cabs or sit in one of my pole barns. The BX I tend to lend to family or friends and it may stay outside for a couple weeks at a time in all kinds of weather. I would like to find a cover that will cover the machine with the back hoe on.

Assuming you don't want to just tarp it. Check with a canvas shop that does boat covers. If you could leave the tractor there, they could make you a custom cover.

I did that for my log splitter. It was pricey, but I never regretted it since it sits outside all the time.

If you loan it out, send a tarp with it. If they won't cover it with a tarp, they probably wouldn't cover it with a custom made or fitted cover.
Is mice an issue in your area? Covering it with a tarp or cover all the way to the ground is going to increase humidity issues along with access to critters you really don't want around your machine.

I made the mistake of covering a 2 horse trailer with a custom cover. Once i removed the cover i found lots of mouse nests under cover, all screens in trailer eaten away and the think smelled of mouse pee for a long, long time.

Kind of my thoughts, although we don't have mice issues here (which is surprising due to the amount of corn we put out daily).
I would think one or two of those 10x10 collapsable tent coverings set up end to end might be better but unfortunately, those things don't hold up in the wind.

When I was 16 I had a nice Black car that I didn't run in the winter, I made the mistake of covering it with a tarp, Well in the spring I ended up having the whole car re painted. I know this is a tractor and not a shiny sports car. I know a lot of tractors sit out their whole life, Parking it in the shade probably would help it some. I figure these little tractors hold their value and I may sell or trade it in at some point figured If I kept it nice that would help.

I just serviced and wash/waxed my 2010 dk45 last Tuesday. It still looks fairly new even with 1650 hours. Thats why i keep it under a lean too. The sun just destroys the paints.

You might try a cheap, ready-made boat cover.

I can second the silverlake recommendation. They made me a custom cover for my tractor and were easy to work with. I'm pretty sure they would make you a tractor cover, and a separate one to cover the backhoe.

What about a harbor freight frame/tarp carport?
Send it along w the tractor and the expectation is that they build it onsite and park the tractor under it.

I use a ShelterLogic shelter for my horses and it has lasted a few years in the weather. Would work for a tractor. I use a metal 10 x 15 carport from Home Depot for my tractors, but the cost for these has gotten a little outrageous. The ShelterLogic covers are more reasonable.

I keep my BX23S under an old shed to keep it out of the weather, the south georgia sun is rough on things. It was still getting covered in dust. Managed to find a cover on Amazon that covers the bucket all the way to the backhoe. Think it was $100. Its even water proof. Has vent flaps and a zippered access flap to allow you to crank it periodically.

For now I keep it under a large wood carport I built, I plan to build a new saw dust shed this year adn I am going to figure a bay for a couple tractors in the design. I have quite a few out buildings on my land, I have a lot of equipment and I really don't like to leave anything outside long term.
