Kubota BX 25 Want to add a thumb to BT601 Backhoe, Looking for advice.

Hi, I want to add a thumb to my BX 25, Ideally I would add a hydraulic one but I am unsure on cost and if it is worth it.
I found this one,

I am open to other ideas as well. Any info on the hydraulic ones?
Is the one in the link worth it?

Personally, I would be very wary of a thumb that is only sold on Amazon and not on other tractor related sites. It looks to be about half the price of a Titan attachments or Bxpanded version. I also believe you get what you pay for. It might be fine for your use, but where do you go if you have issues with it?

I do agree, I have no problem spending more if needed. Figured Id ask as sometimes these companies surprise you.

Dougtrr2 summarized the situation very well. A few data to support his points: Awkward language in copy, e.g. "Professional installation is highly recommended if you never install this"; "Ships from" and "sold by" is not Amazon and is different from "Ecotric"; One star reviews number over 10%, which is high. (Reading one star reviews can indicate what to expect.)

Regarding hydraulic vs manual thumbs: Being able to move the thumb to the bucket and not being forced to only curl the bucket to the thumb greatly increases the dexterity, especially if plucking objects (stones, logs) from a pile. I have an hydraulic thumb and do not regret the extra cost.

OTOH $150.00 may be an inexpensive lesson in the tractor world.

So I ended up ordering this one today, The Amazon one seemed to be hit ot miss with fitment and I don't really want to weld it on.

I got the Thumb installed, it took less then 5 Mins, I have not tried it yet but it looks good on the machine lol. Fed ex did a number on the box and packaging, I called BX and they were helpful and it appears I have all of the parts that I should.
