Awesome progress, Richard! Pretty hard to beat those beautiful shots with the drone!

If I give you my coordinates could you do a fly by and check on my shop?

If in the neighborhood, yes. :)

I've "lost" my drone twice. Due to lack of attention to detail. Battery caused it to "critical land" before it got back to me. Once was while shooting video of a combine shelling corn. Landed in standing corn two rows off to the side of moving machine. :)

Thanks Terry.

I started hauling dirt last March. Been a long and stressful year. Will be glad when it's done.

I wish that I had a drone. I would use it on my field every time before I cut the grass. I nearly ran over a nest of wild turkey eggs one time. So I didn't run over them, but the crows found them. Sad.

I've not tried that Kyle. Wildlife are kinda freaked out by the drone. My Purple Martins go into a frenzy when I launch.

Last Summer I was brush cutting CRP in August. Twice I had to stop and shut off the tractor and wait for coveys of baby quail to get out of the way. Too small to fly.

I've spent enough on aerial photography (from an airplane) of my house in the past 20 years I could probably have bought my own inexpensive drone. I just might do that this summer, it looks like fun.

Beautiful spread. Your priorities seem to be well in place. Huge shop buildings, then a nice house. Somehow I don't think my wife would let me prioritize that way, so I say Richard should be granted a non-revocable man-card.

I enjoy it. I use a 9" tablet for a viewer. Much easier to see everything than using a phone. Last time I checked I had just over 500 flights logged. With no hotrodding and calm winds it'll fly 25 minutes. Most of my flights are 10-15. I've took a lot of pics and video of people's properties. I don't charge anything. Just do it to be neighborly. With all the extras I've got $1,500 invested.

I told Terry we'd need the shop to store building materials. So far that's worked well. 1/3 full now. On nasty days it gives my builders a warm dry place to eat lunch. :)

Really like the floorplan. My wife liked the floorplan, except she said not enough counter space, she would put a window above the sink, and counter the corner. And put pantry in laundry room. Lol

How big is shower stall?

Your wife will like the finished kitchen. 6ft x 3ft island set at angle same as pantry entry with cooktop. Local talent building the cabinets.

One is 4x7, other 4x6. Both walkin, no doors. I think your wife will like Master Bath as well. :)

Thanks for your compliment.

She doesnt think she would like a no door shower, but she never saw one. She thinks it will make a mess.

I showed her all your pics.

Surprised your garage slab can be level with the house floor, thought code required it to be lower.

We looked at two houses with showers like these. Neither complained of mess. Both said if you walk out of the shower to dry you'll make more of a mess.

We plan to finish our lives here. So plan for worst case, wheelchairs, etc.

I've lived in this area all my life. Terry spent her life in more populated communities until we got together 15 years ago. She still struggles a little with codes. We don't have any. No building permit. No inspectors. I ran all the buried utilities and sewer. I'm now doing the electrical. I certainly don't need an inspector to tell me to do it right.

Our garage floor has a slope toward the door dropping 3" over 22ft of the 28ft length. The floor is heated. Shared walls will be spray foam insulated.

That is going to be sweet.

My dads area in OH has no codes, no inspections.

I did all my plumbing and electrical with inspections here. I also did framing, painting, finish carpentry, built my cabinets, set all fixtures..etc.

What part of Missouri? We go thru there at times. Ate at Lamberts last summer. Boys are in college in AR.
We got a good friend at ft wood.

North of KC 100 miles. I went thru Army Basic Training at Ft Wood in 1971.

You are much more talented than I. I can do plumbing but hate it. Wouldn't consider cabinet building or sheetrock at all. I'll trim and paint.

We're planning on stain/sealing the concrete. So great care will be used in the finishing process. Floors will be covered before sheetrock starts.

If you ever ce into Missouri from the North you are welcome to stop by. We're just 2 miles off I-35.

Used to know someone in Maryville area.

My chance of being in that part of the state is pretty low, but would love to see the area. I did stay in boonville a couple yrs ago, driving back on I70. I live just north of I70 also, just a lot further east.

Count me in for no shower doors. I would love that. And no door to clean!

The wife/maid stipulated no doors. :)

Little worried about our weather this weekend. Supposed to get 6" snow, teens for temps, and 30mph wind. Soffits aren't finished. May be scooping snow out of the house!! :)
