Good news, Richard!

I'm homeless 01 April. Can I live in your barn Terry??? ;)
You would be more than welcome here. C’mon over!

And not to make light of the homeless situation in the world but this reminds me of the notice my daughter sent out years ago.:

“Hello friends. I' m hoping someone can help me in locating my father (Terry). Attached is the most recent photo I have of him taken shortly after he prepaid my Grade six tuition.

If you see him PLEASE let him know he owes me two weeks allowance.
Thanks, Holly”

There were times I felt a little guilty when they were doing the siding and soffit/facia on my house, but I reminded myself they had 2 months of good dry weather and chose not to work on it.

Richard,

Any updates?

We're gainin, slowly. :)

Mudding sheetrock. Electrical done. HVAC installed, propane fired with air/air heat pump. Using Rinnai tankless DHW heater. Second one will run floor heat. Spray foamed walls. Then netted them and finished filling with fiberglass. Blew 18" of fiberglass in attic. Still haven't had suitable weather to finish outside soffitts or siding. Got a concrete stain/sealer guy coming to give us ideas this Saturday.

Been a stressful Winter. Good thing, got our home place sold. Bad thing, moving out 23rd of March. Storing household stuff in a Semi van trailer. Will live in Daughter's nice camper trailer til house is done. I think that will be second week of April.

I'll update with pics when we get on WiFi at new location.

Thanks for checking on me Lynn. :)

Because of weather we had 45 days of no progress. That put us behind schedule. Stressful for us. More stressful for our builder and for the family waiting on him to start their home build. Lucky for us that our concrete got done first.

Sounds good, glad things are moving along.

I know when things were not moving along with our home the stress level went up. Hopefully the stay in the trailer will be short.

Is this winter more severe than normal, Richard?

No, actually it's more like normal. We just got spoiled with 5 easy Winters in a row. And we're whiners.... :)

It is what it is. The young man that bought my property has sold his. He was smart enough to give them 01 May possession date. So he's got wiggle room. I'm already letting him move stuff into my shop. I'll vacate it tomorrow so he can continue moving as he has time. He's working long hours at his job so his "move" days are limited. I want to give him all the time I can. He's a very mature and hard working young man.

Moving into a new place, let alone building a new place, is very stressful. Hats off to you guys building a new home. After it is all done, you will appreciate getting exactly what you wanted.

Well, if I'm going to sit around in the shop and kill time on TBN I might as well update this thread. It's only been 9 months.... We moved in 7 months ago.

So where was I,,,, oh yeah,,,,, spray foam insulation.....

I think we got the house walls sealed up very well with the application. But we did not get what we paid for. Supposed to be 2". Were spots that only had 1". The Contractor charged us $4K. Our Builder and I met with him and discussed the shortfall. He agreed to refund us $1,500. Though the first pic doesn't show it they sprayed the batting boards and the top wall plates. Also sprayed the metal HVAC ductwork.
