I don't believe any of this. Including the picture of the old Bronco that's fake...... :)

The announced it at the Detroit Auto Show.

I spent a lot of time driving 92-94 models when I was in the USAF and they my favorite vehicle ever, but did the job. I was in Montana and we needed 4WD, the ability to haul a bunch of gear, and do actual light off-road work. Trying to use pickup trucks would have been a royal pain...the would have needed caps to keep all the gear dry/clean and crew cabs since we sometimes had three or four guys, and that would have made for a longer vehicle that would have sucked off road.

I'm not sure why some folks are commenting like the new version would be remotely like any prior versions other than the general concept of a larger SUV?

That's what I've been wondering too. The only thing it has in common is the name.

Yep, similar to the Jeep Pickup.........

That's not even remotely similar. Ford/Bronco enthusiasts have been begging for a new Bronco since they stopped making them in 1996. That was never true of the Jeep pickup.

What do you base that on?? Are you a Jeep enthusiast??

Jeep enthusiasts are much more brand loyal than Ford/Bronco enthusiasts have ever been. That's why the Jeep Wrangler is still alive and the Bronco is dead. :)

The Wrangler is still around because there's a demand for it. Jeep actually made pickups, and those lines all went away because the demand wasn't there....Commando, Scrambler, Gladiator, Comanche all come to mind. The last Comanches were made in 1992. Jeep enthusiasts are loyal, but small in number compared with the Big-3 enthusiasts.

If the Jeep enthusiasts wanted Jeep trucks they would have bought more than 190K in 8 years (total Comanche production).

Bronco enthusiasts have been loudly calling for a new Bronco for 20 years, and that's no secret.

What happened to the Bronco demand?? Since the Big-3 enthusiasts are large in number compared to Jeep enthusiasts, why did the Bronco fail while the Wrangler survived?

The Bronco didn't fail. It sold well, and was replaced with the Expedition and they've sold over 2.5M of those to date. If they had decided to simply call the Expedition a remodeled Bronco they would still have sold 2.5M of them.

Bronco fans have been vocal for 20 years asking Ford for a new version, and you can't change that with your opinion.

It sounds like you should start a thread titled "who doesn't believe Ford will release a new Bronco in 2020" because that's what you're arguing.
