Have you ever seen a ground and polished concrete floor? Similar to a large floor buffer but with grinding wheels of course to finer grits. The process actually hardens the surface and looks like marble when complete. Only a clear sealer needs to be applied. Saw it done in a large machine shop years ago for all the aisles between equipment.

Please excuse my ignorance..... What is the bottom row of bricks sitting on?? Thanks!!!!! Is gonna be awesome!!!!

I've been wondering that too. Usually it's a concrete footer that goes down below the frost line and is part of the slab. I'm real curious how they did this so the bricks wont move during winter and crack.

Yeah, that was why I asked. I didn't see a poured brick footing that's normally visible.

Maybe they drilled into the floor slab and pinned a brick footing?

No bashing here at all. Just very curious. :)

Sorry for not responding, iOS 10 does not let me text responses so I'm using talk to text. As for the brick, it is sitting on a 42 inch plus putting by 16 inches wide

Is that foil tape used to seal around the windows? Never seen it used for that before. What is the OSB for that's resting on the ground at the base of your walls?
The silver tape is from P EL LA.

yes there's footings there I promise. Send did wash on top of them with several rains. They did clear the sand before putting the brick on the footing

The first few pages shows the footings being dug and poured

You did well on the saw cut deaths which are typically 25% of the concrete thickness. Sealer product you used has a good reputation.

Yes, in going back over the pics again I can see it. Was sure something had to have been used. This type of construction is new to me. Thank you very much for patience. :)

It is very strange to me that your HOA makes you brick your equipment barn of all things! I've never lived anywhere fancy enough to have a HOA but I don't think I'd like it.
