Happy New Years Eve, but don't party too hard.
Having a small birthday dinner for my friend Wylee, he is 81 today.

Be safe
Have a great day

Good Morning. 1045, overcast, 55F with 87% humidity. Forecast high of 61F with 0% chance of rain this afternoon, and a low of 44F tonight. I'm working around the house this morning. Haven't been out except to feed the dog and back yard cat.

I'm planning on the traditional black eyed peas {of course} for tomorrow, but also thinking about stirring up some gumbo. I might be starting a new tradition.

Happy early birthday Roy.

Hope everyone has a good day,

Larro

Boy, the truth sure hurts....

JD, we have just reached maturity that's all. Some of us have been mature for longer than others....;)
Roy, you're three months ahead of me. But after lifting firewood this afternoon, I think I'm gaining on you.

Carpenters left at 3pm, leaving me with another layer of dust, but could not be helped. So tomorrow, I will not clean, but rather
do some finish sanding and make a bigger mess, and then clean. Kitchen is done though, what a relief. That will send me into the new year
with a good smile on my face.
May all yours be even wider...

hmmm, that Australian chardonnay was quite nice. Last of my cooking wine, good to drink, good to cook with.
Now let's see what I can get into. Diet Pepsi sounds intelligent but no fun... perhaps a glass of shiraz with my lowly but delicious home made meat loaf will do the trick. I'm a one glass guy, pushing it with two; acid reflux just does not allow me to drink much wine. Probably a good thing.

In the past I've drank my fair share of champagne on New years eve, we all have, or most, but that stuff while delicious to sip gives me such a headache. Ok in OJ though...
speaking of which, drink some oj tonight, ward off a cold. Both carpenters were hacking today, given to them by the son's 2 year old son.
I stayed far away.

Larro, what's in your "traditional" new year's day meal?
be interesting to compare that to the fare in Texas or Hawaii.
Are peas a treat or don't you eat them anyway?
or do you just prepare them "special"?

Considering all the fats and sugars consumed over the prior weeks, probably be
good if we all ate some broiled fish.

You young people need to stop calling each other names.

Can't understand what Roy is bitching about....AT LEAST I wished him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY...did he wish me one....oh no, he probably was so old and absent minded he forgot the date....

There is a word for that: addlepated

Save you a lot of typing in your decrepitude.

I'm always trying to make life easier for the senior citizens among us.
