lf a termite can eat a house, you can get that tree out of your pond. Your pictures are proof that all it takes is persistence. Good job!
Could be wrong, but I'd be really surprised if that come-a-long moved it much past the cattails let alone up the bank.
3' base is a big tree. A big heavy tree.
I'm thinking too heavy also.
My 4 ton come-a-long pulled this, but no mud was involved.
I will say that I think this bent some parts on my come-a-long.
Was rather surprised at the performance of my made-in-China 4-ton come-a-long. Did the job and no bent or broken parts!
If it was 3' it definitely would have been too much for the come-a-long but in reality it was a mere 23".
