Best way to clear small trees from pasture

Tordon mixed with glyphosate works well , I have cut and sprayed lots of honey locust willow and osage orange trees with this combo and had very little regeneration.

I just looked up the mixture of "stuff" that works......the trees WILL NOT grow back.

the blend I use and recommend most is:

50% triclopyr (Garlon 3A brand name)
40% water
10% imazapyr (Arsenal AC)

Important: Mixed in this order! When you are blending these in a container or bottle, add the Garlon first, then add the water, then add the Arsenal last. If you don’t do it in this order, the blend will form a gel that won’t squirt through the nozzle.

If you don’t treat the stumps with herbicide, you are wasting your time

Why would he need that when the mulcher can push them over and turn them to sawdust? Probably up to 8” diameter. He said it was new growth-like 5 years old. Should be no problem for a mulcher.

I run a 100 HP skid steer and I prefer the bush hog over the mulcher. If I see 3 12" trees growing close together, I let it build speed, blap, they're down. High flow hydraulics are nice. Then I put boom down and tilt hog up and run over all the tops. Switch to grapple and pile it, go home.

I have had success with cutting the sapling/honeysuckle down and painting the cut with straight Roundup®
