Too bad you just got the welder for the tale-end of the project. That would have been a good one that would get you lots of practice. Now you have to come up with another project. :DWhat a drag. :D:
I asked about the welder because I didn't see the signs of slag-chipping along the welds on the skid shoes.

Your right about me getting the welder but I actually did have to chip off the slag on the welds your talking about. I use the flux-cored wire from lincoln.

I am not sure if you have Praxair welding supply down there but you will find their fluxcore wire is a much better weld and much cleaner once slag knocked off. Otherwisw switch to gas, but then metal has to be very nice and clean before welding.

Sorry I haven't posted anything sooner. Here are a couple pics of the finnished blade. I will try to get more posted while mounted on the loader when my yard dries up a little. I pretty much got a soaker walking to the cover-all to take the pics.

I've actually have been using it for the last two years. Works awesome... I was thinking of putting small sides on it to help it float a little better. It tends to want to dig into my laneway. I was also going to weld a pipe on the cutting edge which should solve the problem. Thanks for the complements.

Did you have someone roll the steel for the blade

Wow, that is really slick! Did you end up having any problems moving snow without angles and all that?

Also, is it really much different from just using the bucket?

I built a plow for mine that angles. I found that I hardly ever had a need to angle it. I am seriously thinking about doing something similar Nyen0004's setup but adding wings to the end.

I had no problem pushing, unless we get a really wet snow fall it worked great. I dont really have a long lane way so i have enough pushing power to make it all the way.
I can clean the lane way in a 1/4 of the time it would take with a bucket.

Sfrankland, I was actually thinking of making side wings. That way i wont get the spill out therefor have to make less passes.
