Zd1211 blades

That’s exactly why I went with the 1/4” thick 3” wide Oregon 396-814 G6 Gator Blades.
Their Strong & more flat than the curved, thin cheesy Kubota OEM blades

My understanding is that the 396-814 blades are for 72" rear discharge .. but not 72" side discharge?

Read post #57

I’m going to do this same blade holder boss mod to my ACS 72 SD to run the same blades as my RD 72”.

I think the older SD Pro Decks accepted 1-1/8 center hole blades

Sorry.

My G6 Gator blades on 72” RD Deck seems to leave clippings 1/4-1/2” in length.

The stock Kubota blades on my new 72” SD deck leaves clippings 1“ or Longer

I know I’m comparing two different decks but the Teeth on the G6 Gator MULCHING Blades do cut the blades of grass as it’s slinging them out.

Yea same washers. Your not machining down that far, so washers still fit down where it wasn’t machined down to 1 1/8”

Ok. I answered my own question when I assembled it.

I bought extra washers, blade bolt & boss to keep on hand.

My machine shop is turning 4 bosses down to 1-1/8” Monday so I’ll have a spare.

I like keeping spare parts on-hand at all times.

I find when shopping on the internet I have better luck using part numbers rather than descriptions.
These are the 72" blades with 1-1/8 holes ...

BTW ... I'm just sharing what I spent many hours researching!

Buddy

Your like me coming up with mods & upgrades to make things more efficient & user friendly.

I like that

Thank You Very Much for all of your research & help :D

All for 72 RD Deck OR for SD Deck with gonnasellit blade boss mod = 1-1/8 center hole

The 92-116 mow nice but flex a lot where the flat meets raised portion of blade. Lay it on ground and step on it lightly and see how much it bends

My previous post I was saying I bent a set of stock 1 1/8” blades but I looked again and they were these 92-116 1/4” thick Oregon’s For all i know I could have bought them bent (from amazon) and not noticed until I tried to check deck level.Let me know how you make out with yours. On a flat surface the cutting edge is off over 1/8” from one side to another with MAYBE 4 hours on them in flat nice grass
As I write this I’m thinking I got a defective set or they were ran over or crushed in warehouse

I’d think it would take a serious hit on the mower to bend or warp a 1/4” thick blade.

My stock Kubota blades brand new will not lay flat on the table or bench best I remember.

Both these Oregon blade cutting edges are strait & flat

I’m doing my 250 hr service tomorrow and putting on the machined hub for the 1.125 blades.
I’ll give a report tomorrow night.

I bought 4 new (1 for spare) K5955-34380 spindle boss blade holders & had machined down for my 72” SD to accept the Oregon G6 Gator Blades like I’m running on my 72” RD Deck.

These Blades are Awesome.

Thanks Again to gonnasellit for his R&D work

Sorry for not getting back sooner on the blade swap.
I’ve put about 10hrs on my 1211 since I put the machined hubs and Oregon Gator G6 blades on. It definitely made a + difference in the cut quality, it also
Is leaving a definitely noticeable stripe.

Buckeyebutch, is your ZD1211 a 72” Deck ?

When you say stripe are you referring to the desirable contrast stripes, or some defect in the cut?
I have been very satisfied with G6 Gator blades on my ZD mowers, but with the 1-1/8" holes. I can't believe Oregon has not made a blade to fit the new Kubota commercial mowers.

   / Zd1211 blades #80
I’m sure he means the desirable contrast stripes from mowing back & forth.

I agree with you on Oregon loosing out on not getting in on the SD Decks running the 1-5/16” center hole blades.

Especially with them being the exact same length.
