Pat is my hero! I have read every book he has written. I moved to North ID recently and I have met folks who knew him. All his stories were based on people in his life and the locations he references are all real places.

Such great books.
His audio books are a laugh a minute for a road trip.

Grammar and spelling are a problem. ‘Computers spellchecking and grammar checking are not the answer. Journalism and proofreading needed…
Apparently they don't teach that anymore. Online "news" sources are as bad or worse than print media. Sometimes you have to read a paragraph a couple times to figure out what the writer is trying to say.
I guess the generation getting into that field grew up with texting abbreviations and just assumes everyone knows what you mean.

I always get a kick out of watching "All The Presidents Men" to show what they had to do without technology when it came to writing a story and covering their butts.

Even Eddie Muldoon?😲 Or am I thinking of a different writer?
As I understand it, the characters and stories are based on real people/situations, but the personalities and details of the stories may be exaggerated for entertainment.

So yep! they are all based on real people!
-Eddie Muldoon
-Rancid Crabtree
-His sister the Troll
-His Mom
etc.

I guess he grew up in a one room school house in ID over by the Washington Border between Priest Lake and Priest River. Then he moved to just North of Sandpoint near Sand Creek (3-5 miles north as I understand it).

There is also a small series of plays you can purchase/view that are hysterical. Wrote by Pat and performed as a one man shows by Tim Behrens.

He died of Alzheimer's a few years ago. He had relocated to Spokane by then.

YKYO.
I bought a few things the last couple days but not before thinking if I'll get much use from them before I kick the bouquet. Then I thought why should someone inherit my money when they can have something totally useless to them.

You know that you are old when you gargled with Listerine to keep from getting colds.

Gawd, that was nasty stuff!!!

Growing up that is what we used. My dad thought it was the thing to use when you had coughing or sore throat. Hated it when my dad insisted I gargle with it for sore throat. When I got older I decided that maybe it did help after all

You know you're old when you think your having trust issues with your wife because you asked her if she threw something of your clothes out, because they're at least 15 years old and should be at goodwill by now, because she keeps saying they "need to go".

She didn't throw them out, I just couldn't find them, and she is the one who told me where they're at LOL

I don't care if it helped or not. I'm not going to put that vile stuff in my mouth ever again.

Every time someone convinces me to give Laphroaig another try, I’m reminded how much it tastes like that old Listerine antiseptic throat spray… at $100/bottle. :p I like Scotch, but I’m not sure how anyone actually enjoys that stuff.

Not sure of the condition of what you would be installing it on after 50++ years ;)
