Yanmar Newbe!

Hey guys,
New here and new to Yanmar. I've owned a couple of Massey Fergusons over the years, a 275 and a 135 both Perkins Deisels and fine tractors. But this is my first "toy" tractor. It's a 1700 Yanmar (with steering and charging problems) I am going to pick up bearings for the steering shaft this morning. It came with a 4'disc,box blade,"bush hog" brand mower and a Yanmar RS1200 tiller with a busted axle and alot of missing tines.
I will be needing info/parts for the tiller (if it's worth fixing) the sheet metal looks nice

:welcome: to TBN! Sounds like you have a bit of work to do on your new 1700. I know hoye tractor will have a video on how to rebuild your steering box on their website which is very helpful when it comes to replacing your bearings. They also have a LOT of parts available for sale and should have most everything you need involving your Yanmar. :thumbsup: I have purchased a few parts from Hoye and am very satisfied with their service. :thumbsup:

Just want to point out that there is a difference between your old Yanmar, and the new Cub Cadet Yanmars, and as such there is a Yanmar forum instead of this cub cadet forum that your post was moved into. You'll get even more help there:
