XG3025 Recall

   / XG3025 Recall #171
Adamjt, my XG 3025 is a 2018 model and it required the recall modification. My dealer told me it was only a matter of installing some shims where the engine is attached to the frame if my memory is correct. I can not see where the shims were installed so I guess you would have to have a dealer look at it. Wish I could be more helpful but that's all I know. I'm approaching 200 hours on mine and no problems.

Thanks. Dealer said they are doing frame and loader stanchion updates to them. Huh

Would this include the xg3032 ?? Ive got a cracked block at 620hrs and dealer says it could be from stressing the front loader

Does this include the XG3032 ? Have a cracked block at 620hrs use and dealer is telling me its from stressing the front loader

E, I don't recall the 3032 being in the recall but it's possible I guess. I'm doubtful that stressing the FEL would cause the block to crack. If you bought it new I would think it's covered in the 6 year warranty. Good luck & please let us know the outcome.

I cannot advise about the 3032, nor will I speculate.

But as far as just a shim replacement as posted by another fellow member here,. . . . . this I will step into.

There was a front frame change & a stronger mount for the FEL set in place. Plus more than a few other little bits of hard ware.
Might suggest going back a bit & look at some of my pix of my tractor taken apart by the dealer & the new major part which were added all under warranty.

This was a major under taking for LS & at this time I still am most pleased w/ how LS responded. OH YES, I WOULD BUY FROM LS AGAIN.

Something about stressing a motor block from a FEL: It all depends on the block of the tractor's motor; is it part of the frame support system?

You folks be safe out there.

Hello Big Blue Florida, I just re-installed my backhoe about 10 days ago to clear a patch of land for a new shelter. I did go back in the forum files to see if I could find the photos that you mentioned in your last post. Unfortunately my search was unsuccessful, I'm sure it's there but i was unable to find it. When my dealer (a very knowledgeable and helpful person) did the recall on my 3025 he told me it was only the addition of some shims where the frame & engine meet. If there are additional frame parts that should be installed, I need to contact him again to see if he installed them. Also, in looking back at some of the old posts, I find several that recommend using a ripper in place of the bucket for stump removal, do you or maybe another forum member know of a source for a ripper that will fit on our XG3025 backhoe's?

HEY ''fgsiii''
Check out page 17 & 18

Keep in mind, our LS is a 2016. This may or may not mean anything.

Our biggest or tallest trees were 100+ ft

These pines had stumps up to 42 inches diameter w/ tap roots beyond 6 feet deep.

We dug around the stumps & pressured washer the side running roots then chained sawed them .
Had to digg down under the stumps & wash out that area so I could get under that to cut the tap root.

Most of the time we just dug out some of the root & pulled that up.

It was our BH model # 1100 W/ small bucket on the business end that did most of the work.

Each stump offered up a different root configuration
No way our XG3025H could operate a front end ripper large enough to extract these stumps or even some of the side running roots as they too had their own tap roots.

Hope this helps

Here are a few pix of our LS earning its keep .
These were taken just before the recall which we are talking about now, on the XG3025 for my 2016 model.

Since the complete work was done on our tractor we have continued to remove the same size stumps w/ no issues.

Here is one more pix of the lower root cutting in order to remove the stump.
This tree is not a pine but an old sweet gum.

Perhaps on smaller stumps & lesser root systems a ripper on this size LS tractor might do the trick.

Our best to you & yours for a safe winter season.
