Welding Web Down?

Muhammad. If at all possible please fix the apostrophe problem for posters (with APPLE mobile devices ?). I deliberately omit it on some posts in case it is quoted
Quoting anything from anywhere (on my desktop PC) trashes the apostrophes, quote marks, probably some more stuff. Previewing reveals the garbage in what I am about to post so I usually put in TBN-acceptable characters at that point. But we shouldn't have to.

I am* certain I appear more intelligent on WW than tbn.

* notice no contractions?

I’m sure others won’t mind me bringin’ this up and that you’ll understand what I’m talkin’ about. Thank you.
As I recall, fixing that will require completely replacing the software that TBN runs on, that is from what I recall in the works and it will end up looking a lot like the new news discussion site (running the same software).

Thanks for the insight, California and Aaron.

There doesn’t seem like anything I can do on my end to prevent my contractions from looking like gibberish if I am quoted. . Does it show up that way on everyone’s screens regardless of device used for viewing???

I often omit those punctuation characters when I expect to be quoted in a reply. This keeps the focus more on the topic.

I just looked into the Coronavirus thread over on WW. So much hate!

A more civil welding site is sorely needed.

If they would just stop watching the news channels that they keep complaining about they would be much better off.:laughing:

Hold my beer! I've got it 90% done.

Who wants to help out and be a moderator? PM me here or we can start with suggesting no more than 12 forum ideas for starters. When a forum is completely empty we need to keep the sections limited. Then as popularity grows, more sections.

Maybe combine the two fabrication forums and add one for Safety?

14 is a nice number.
