Twice now I got the email "Enter this number to finish registration" .. without the number to enter.

Apparently that's something that auto-note came from Vb 4.5 and doesn't work with 5. Writing command line for Linux looks like playing Chutes and Ladders compared to the supposed fix.

So, uh ... I'd sure like to know who told them about me and that I'd be applying for membership. :whistleblower: 'Fess up!

I clicked "contact us", and Opera opened two blank pages. I hadn't launched that browser since 'migrating' from the D830 (Vista) to this box (Dell?, Win 7).

wow u guys must have rock star eyes and small fingers to tap on the phone screens, i just have too much trouble with all that so still use a computer too frustrating for me on a phone and i see that tapatalk thing too - must be some kind of app you add so no help here on it

I think the explanation is when the new owners bought the site (and a lot of other websites but only a couple of them had VB-based forums), they then engaged VB corp to run WW and HVAC-talk forums for them. (& possibly other sites we never heard of). But VB's staff is finding the old admins 'improved' stuff in the sub-databases (photos, member list, etc), so plain vanilla current generation VB software doesn't mesh well with the existing WW databases.

That is just speculation, but it's similar to what happened when photos became unavailable on another VB-based site I that read. Come to think of it the owner of a small website where I'm a mod said he will never update the version of VB he runs because that would break everything. ... And WW is clearly broken.

It may be a while before WW is back to what we expect.

Unlesss "activateid" is actually what I'm to type in to finish registering with WW I'm still unable to.

At least my username there is mine alone 'stupididiot', without a number tacked on that says everybody wants to be called that.

Well I can now view. And log in. Tried posting. Worked twice , third time no. Cancel, edit and preview features don稚 work.

Tried half a dozen ways that others were able to use to post pics and none worked for me.

Tapatalk is definitely out. Wondering if it is an iPad / iPhone problem.

WTF. Thinking about joining a sewing forum. Less BS and maybe better looking members.

Found that standard generic browsers most likely to work .. Pretty much shun specific APPS...
