It doesn't look like you have much clearance for chains between the tire and fender.

My drive is gravel, you are right about the fenders, I'm going to have to role them a bit. I have ordered a set of diamond pattern chains. And wheel weights, I also now have a 140lbs on the back.

The thoughts that you didn't say what your driveway is leaves me with the thoughts that turf tires on blacktop will give you more traction then you will ever get with chains if you are scraping it.

only thing to really be mindful of with chains on blacktop are the scrape marks that could be left if you spin a tire or turn sharply. If you are plowing it anyways, you are going to get some scrape marks.

No way turf tires will give more traction than chains on a paved driveway that needs "scraped".

Get chains! Seems that once you do there will be less snow. :laughing: least around here.
