Watering a garden

/ Watering a garden #21
We had about four days of rain in early June, I have to water everything in the garden and yard that I want to grow well. I use soaker hoses to make the most efficient use of water in the garden, it also helps to minimize weed growth in the pathways.
Because we have a fairly short growing season for tomatoes and peppers I use an unheated greenhouse to raise them. My greenhouse is 10'X20', I have 24 tomato plants and pepper plants, six cucumbers and three basil pots. It is all on an automatic watering system that also feeds fertilizer.

Mapper, that sounds awesome. We have no electric or water outside of the pond and water tank. we built another pond but it will probably take until the winter or spring rains come to fill it up. Are garden is covered in weeds . It is hard to keep that big of an area clear, I think after the season I will burn it down good, it was grass before we started the garden so naturally it has come back. Maybe next year we will be a little more organized and plant things further apart so I can use the tractor to cultivate. I'm just happy the deer haven't gone over my netting yet (well recently) LOL. I guess having 26 acres of soybeans, several acres of corn and 2 acres of sunflowers keeps them munching on all the other things
