How can you tell from the photos?
I printed the page you posted from the manual. It's a big help if it is a Power Shift to know about the pin and lever!

Move handle with orange knob to location marked "tow" leaving other gearshift knob in "N".

That shift pattern is correct. When all you do is look at tractors and study them and people don't put in all the details you look closer at pictures trying to find your answers. Helps that 99% of what I have now and 100% what I grew up with is JD's from the 70's-80's The giveaway was in your photo. You can see 2 levers for the transmission. No need to blow it up. clear as day it has a Quad Range.

I blew it up and see the quad shifter knobs with the levers for the 3PH. What is the smaller knob to the left? Throttle?

Blowing up the photo also confirms what I thought. A part of the shed roof cracked the cab and looks to be a big chunk missing.

Nice shed on the radio... as well as the always required roll of paper towels that double as TP in the field.

Nice working tractor, but myself I'd prefer the IH visible out the windshield.

I'd humbly suggest you spend a little bit of time trying to start it. Prepare to tow, but who knows it might start with a few shots of WD40 (or ether) and a good battery source. It won't be cold in August
If that doesn't pan out quickly can you rig an attachment for the tow chain to where the suitcase weights attach?

That tractor will not start with a tow. The tow position in the shift pattern is so that you don't damage the transmission while towing the tractor.
