^^ No, that's the corporate raiders and mega companies who have done that. Most of the people responsible for those operations are extremely conservative in their thinking. They want to conserve as much money as they can and keep the rest of us from having it. THEY are the ones stripping our identity and giving it to others in the name of greed. How many tractors are fully made inside the US again?

precisely...corporations & wealthy cronies are the only beneficiaries of the tax cuts as the deficit grows out of control
sure the Dow is up, but how does it benefit the coal miner or manufacturing jobs? (as promised) what is the trickle down effect of the present economy to the working class?

the trickle down effect.... if you feed a horse enough oats, then maybe a sparrow will find a grain or 2 as it passes through

Yup sure do.....and I AM thankful!

Amen. Part of the reason I voted for him. Thank God for a leader that actually gives a **** about America.

Or they will buy a different tractor that has less or no tariff's.. If someone needs a tractor, they will buy one..

Agreed, I do... I if decide that's what I want, I buy it. Not going to worry if it is 26k or 28k if it is the tractor I want.

The only thing he cares about is how much he can use his power to line his own pockets with more money. He only cares about himself and his cronies.

That man has stepped into the biggest abusive situation imaginable. Unbelievable the disrespect for a duly elected president. It hardly seems like an act that is self serving. He could easily do like every other president and lay low, line his pockets and those of his friends and just put in his time. Clearly, not what he is about.

Don't get me wrong. I never liked the man, or that kind of person, but I find myself liking him more and more in that position.

amen...hopefully we are a nation under the rule of law where justice will be served.

having said that, my hope is that we are still a functioning democracy where differences in opinion and policy and party can be discussed with civility & respect. there is no need for us as citizens to resort to tribalism and cult followings without intelligence & respect. just saying

One MUST be able to separate the person from the office! The two MUST be judged separately, something we have a problem to do these days, that's why we elect likeable incompetent fools. I don't care for him personally, but he's doing a good job as president, he's looking after the interest of his nation.

absolutely. just as long as we don't separate the man in office from the rule of law, no one is above that in a working democracy no matter how well the official is doing in the eyes of the electorate. i respect your views as a fellow citizen

There is only one thing I don't like about him and that is he repeats himself all the time, I want to say to him, we heard you the first time. BUT that's the only thing.. Can't wait to vote for him again actually, I think he is doing much more for us than anyone since Reagan. Normally I can't even listen to a president they are so politically correct, this guy talks like the guy down the street..

He does sometimes come across about as daft as the young Bush did. But not in the same kind of funny way, Bush did. I do find his remarks like about having a Bigger Button, and it "WORKS" very funny. And priceless for a president to talk that way, in my opinion.

Makes you wonder though, how he can be so successful.

I once read that most of the Presidents elected where mostly the tallest of the candidates. Shows how stupid people really are. And they often get what they deserve. Too bad, everyone has to suffer.

Is it true, that the last administration spent more money than all the presidents before him? I can hardly believe that. On what?

No. He spent the most "dollars" out of all of the previous administrations, but looking at percentage increases nobody touches F.D.R.

On a pure dollar basis, accounting for inflation, I believe he was higher than any other single president, but not out of the ballpark. He largely spent the money trying to avoid another great depression and beefing up military spending.

For instance FDR added 236 billion in 1944 money, but adjusted for inflation he added 3.6 trillion of today's money. Obama added 8.6 trillion of today's money. Under Clinton, the last time we supposedly had a balanced budget, he added 2 trillion of today's money. Notably less than HW Bush or Regan.

the Mad One:...very informative. wasn't aware of those facts. best regards

I hate to use names, othewise it gets too political. I thought the last administration denied any large spending for the military, preffering social causes instead..
