Tractor Chains---Off the Wall Question

   / Tractor Chains---Off the Wall Question #21
In fact, weight can mean more trouble on slick ice. If the back is real heavy, it’ll swing around on ya and you’ll be looking up the hill from the bottom! My have to change your underwear! 🤣

Studs are a nice option for those who don’t want to do chains on/chains off
Hay I did similar as a 16 year old kid.
Dad had me road the Case 970 Agri King 12 miles to his house, it was February and the roads were really icy especially when I got into the mountains shadow.

The Case was a 2wd with tall AG's. Started into a 90 degree corner and the front end slid to the down hill side which had a deep ditch.
Once the front end started to GO I was barely able to keep from rolling it, just did my best to drive straight down into the ditch.
It was an Open station with no ROPS and luckily I didn't roll it. Had to drive in the ditch quite a ways to find a shallower point So I could square it up with the road and get back on top. Told dad the next time he needs to move the 970 on icy roads he could do it!

ps FIL installed Kold Kutters on his tractor for snow blowing on a steep drive that always gets Icy.
Made a Big difference.
I Bought them as well for the 550 TLB R4's which is pretty helpless on the ice.
