I was thinking that was what he did to burn the engine up, due to it not having oil in the engine. Plus he also spun it over trying to start it which added to the amount of wear on the bearings.Yeah, I posted about there being only 4 bolts that hold engine to bellhousing. Fabricating an adapter will be a lot of work.
Note that you can lift the bed without starting the engine. Crank the engine with the starter (pull the coil wire first) and the bed lever actuated. You can remove the plugs to make it even easier.
