Toro Workman 3200 project...anyone have one of these?

My TN buddy just talked to a gentleman who rebuilds the 3 cylinder Mitsubishi engines on a regular basis.

I think these 3-cyl Mitsubishi engines are also found in Kei trucks, so parts should be available.

I should have pulled the rear tires and wheels off of the red cab Toro before I sent it to TN. Once it arrived, there was no way the new owner would let them go. They were in great shape. I need to find another set and swap them out long enough to see just how much difference it does make. I guess I could take a set off one of the others I have, but those tires aren't nearly as nice as I would like to put on a Toro that I drive regularly.
Too cheap to just order new tires and rims, lol.

Yeah the rears are over 200 clams each. 12" wide and very high load capacity.

Well, after more than a year and a half, my Toro is sold ($4500). Actually, I sold it twice this week, but on the first deal, the CFO gave the thumbs-down after my buyer got home.

Gonna deliver it next week to a strawberry farmer on the coast.

BTW, new ones with 3-cyl gas engine and 4x4 weigh in at 2000#, and have GVWR of over 3600#.

It really seems that 5000hr is where you are gonna see likely trannie problems. Easy enough fix, but everything has to come out first. Kinda like splitting a tractor. No way you can justify this repair if it only sells for $4500.

I really do want a 4x4 version, but I see their turning radius is larger.

My GPS says it is only going 23 mph but it has solid chevron tires on it that never need air. Apparently solid tires were an option, and this one was used in an industrial setting. They are quite a bit shorter in rolling circumference than the standard tires. I like them because they don't go flat, but they do dig when off the road.
The turning radius of a Toro is amazing! Slow down, spin the wheel and you're going the opposite direction with almost no loss in space! I haven't gotten the 4x4 running yet, might even be a while yet.
My propane Toro Workman had a flatbed on it, and the Church I go to needs to move some dirt. They offered to build wooden sides for it, but I just grabbed a spare bed with sides and swapped them out. I didn't have but one tailgate and it has seen better days. So after swapping beds, I proceeded to build a tailgate. Nothing fancy, and not nearly as nice as others recently built and exhibited on this forum. I will post a picture on the next post.
