Used Remedy and diesel mix and also Remedy and water mix both with some success. But the best kill rate I got was mixing some leftover Remedy with Sendero.

Happy Texas Spring!

Question of the day: Who can help me with a wildlife exemption?

Background: 27 acres purchased last year from an AG exempt subdivision of a large tract in Lampasas County. I have the 1-d-1 (Form 50-129) in hand, due May 1st. I cannot claim it as AG since I am not living there and have no livestock, not even a building up yet. What do I need to put on this form and what will I need on the property to support the claim? Any assistance you can offer is greatly appreciated!

Go sit down with your County Appraisal District. Here, in Colorado County, they’ve always been very helpful. I’m planning on eventually switching from Ag Exempt to a Wildlife Exemption.

Thanks! I'll have to set up an appointment with them, also take a day off. I need to get a few items done in the county so this will be another checkmark on the list. :drink:

We have ag exemption and a few cows. Son in law a little south of us has 15 acres and timber exemption.

If Lampasas is anything like it's neighbor Burnet County, they will sit down with you and walk you through page by page. Burnet could not have possibly been more helpful.

I don't believe you have to live there. If you can claim it as a hay production field, it can be AG exempt.

Correct! But, the CAD will expect to see some hay production. A neighbor, at our Fayette County place. would buy a round bale and display it at front of his property every year. He was eventually busted and lost his Ag Exemption plus got to pay back his tax savings over several years. The CAD folks are not dummies.
