If I thought it would follow me up country.. I would head that way.. Brandi in the last two weeks we have 13 inches.. but 7 of that came at one time.. I don’t know,, right now,, what we got last night.. I will head over to the land after lunch to check things out and empty my rain gauge.. Sad thing here on the gulf,, these rains don’t fill no rivers or lakes,, right to the local creeks and bayous to the bays then the gulf.. Lou

Lou,
About 5-6 inches dumped on us this morning at Hobby around 6am. We had to go out to the wash rack and move a bird out to taxi to the gates. There was around 5 inches of water inside the wash rack. Nothing here at home today.

I used to water ski in Bastrop Bayou many years ago.

I wonder how many people even know what you're talking about.:) I would not have, if we hadn't seen the one in Little Elm on the east side of Lake Lewisville last year. I guess they're getting popular.

I think the ski park between Houston and Galveston has an adult size "water wiggle" also. You strap on a device that has a hose running to a jet ski. The jet ski powers the person out of the water and you can dive and fly out of the water............after a slight learning curve.

I used to ski behind the boss's Ford Falcon pickup at Hooks Airport's water runway. A paved road ran right beside it. You had to get up fast, as the bank's cattails came up fast. Also, you tried not to auger in, as the waterway was only about 3-4 feet deep. I also ran an airboat in it (on it?), after I rebuilt it's mags.
hugs, Brandi
