Nothin. Overcast and 80*. Lots of stuff to the north and south and east of us. It's got us surrounded, but not a drop falling from the sky.

I thought that .08" that we got yesterday morning was going to be all, but then we had another shower before midnight, so altogether, we got about a quarter of an inch yesterday. I went and got my truck washed this morning to try to encourage it to rain some more today, but it's not looking too promising.

We have had only a trace of rain the past week. The dry and cracking black clay got so bad the front gate posts have leaned down, making the gate drag the ground. I let about 450 gallons of water run around the gate posts and it corrected itself. We have some cracks here big enough to put your whole arm in.

It been raining here all morning.. lot of heavy rain.. The kind you would write home about.. as I am doing now,, it is headed north,, hope it holds together.. so y’all can share the wealth. Live is good when it rains.. Lou

At 2:30pm we are right at 7 inches, I don’t think that is luck Bird,, I think we are just in the line of fire.. it keeps trailing right over the top of us.. I bet Houston got 9 inches or more in some places.. Tomorrow we got a 80% chance.. today we only had a 70%.:shocked:. I quit whining around noon today..

Yeah, Lou, that's a little more rain than I need. But even without rain today, our temperature range has been 65 to 77 and already starting back down; 74 right now. I can sure live with that.
