Nothin. Overcast and 80*. Lots of stuff to the north and south and east of us. It's got us surrounded, but not a drop falling from the sky.

I thought that .08" that we got yesterday morning was going to be all, but then we had another shower before midnight, so altogether, we got about a quarter of an inch yesterday. I went and got my truck washed this morning to try to encourage it to rain some more today, but it's not looking too promising.

We have had only a trace of rain the past week. The dry and cracking black clay got so bad the front gate posts have leaned down, making the gate drag the ground. I let about 450 gallons of water run around the gate posts and it corrected itself. We have some cracks here big enough to put your whole arm in.

At 2:30pm we are right at 7 inches, I don’t think that is luck Bird,, I think we are just in the line of fire.. it keeps trailing right over the top of us.. I bet Houston got 9 inches or more in some places.. Tomorrow we got a 80% chance.. today we only had a 70%.. I quit whining around noon today..:) Lou

Yeah, Lou, that's a little more rain than I need. But even without rain today, our temperature range has been 65 to 77 and already starting back down; 74 right now. I can sure live with that.:D

From radar looks like Colorado County had been getting big rains all day long. Don't know as we are having some R&R in San Diego this week.

75 degrees and sunny at 3 pm.

Don,, I would love to share,, All I need is two to three inches that would have made my hay fields happy.. I got another cut coming this year for sure.. It is so wet now that all that extra rain is just running off to the gulf.. What a waste,, it is raining again this morning started at 4:49am.. woke me up with the thunder,, guess I will spend the day waxing my wife jeep in the garage and watching it rain.. Lou

We got about 1/4 inch. Thanks. More rain today, but I forgot to check the gauge when I came home. It's a lite rain right now.

Don, when we lived down in Navarro County, I put up a new fence, using wooden posts, around what was going to be my garden. Somewhere I heard or read that if you put pea gravel around the posts instead of dirt, they'd stay tight and upright. So I got a load of pea gravel and did that. Total waste of time and money. The pea gravel disappeared into the bowels of the earth and I had to go back and pack dirt around each post. I had some cracks in that black land that you could lose a golf club in.

You can hear people talking Chinese in my pasture if you put your ear close to some of the cracks.
