I tried to mow the highest part of the pasture yesterday. Almost got stuck several times so I gave up. Heavy rain on the way, the line of storms is just coming thru now. It is causing flooding in the Metroplex so maybe next weekend I will try again.

I went out and fed horses early to avoid the rain. The line runs from the border of Mexico all the way up to Canada so I am pretty sure it will not miss us. This from the National Weather Service:

My yard is in dire need of mowing, but I was afraid I'd get my ZTR stuck if I tried to mow yesterday, and now it's raining again this morning. All the heavy rains really made the grass grow tall and fast, but now I think so much water is even killing the grass in some spots.

Just brought the horses in from the paddock to the barn. Accuweather says storms are 15 minutes out. It is dark outside, and I can hear rumbling in the distance.

It appears to be over for awhile again; only got another two-thirds of an inch or so.

It' a frog washing gully strangler here right now. Heavy wind and torrential rain with lightening. Internet and electricity are still on, but satellite is out.

And down goes the tree in the front yard-right on top of the small fence. Undecided if I should go attack it now that the rain has slowed, or wait and see if it completely clears out.

That's not good. We had a large limb break off and fall on the popup camper last night. It is about 9" diameter where it broke. Fortunately it didn't do much damage to the popup. The limb had issues, it appears mostly ants had weakened it.

I hope the tree isn't too large and you can take care of it easily.

I can relate - down went a big limb on my walk way. I'll just put up a detour sign.
