My wife and I fly out of Hobby on Southwest to Vegas twice a year because we live south of Houston,:thumbsup:, it doesn't make us bad people or nice people.. It just makes us people that likes peanut.. Well I like peanuts with the cold beer that southwest serves.. if you tip the stewardess with real cash they will give you free beer.:drink:. Plus I got a half of an inch of rain on the land today.. I know what you are thinking.. Lou must be drinking cause he would never say something like this if he was sober.:confused3:. True.. But that's not the point,, the point is sharp like a roofing nail.. They hurt when they go thru the hand at 120 psig from a nail gun.. But I don't need a new roof or stiches to the hand. just got some,:laughing:, thank you.. but could use another drink before I go to bed.. never mind I will get it myself.:cool2::laughing:. Lou

I got .15" of rain this afternoon. It was a nice shower. It was coming down pretty good for awhile. Nice!

It's so dry here that my lawn has been looking so bad that I spread some Scotts Turf Builder and have been running a couple of sprinklers enough to amount to about a half inch or a little less of water. I may have to take out a second mortgage when I get my next water bill.

Bird, ol' Dennis will tell you that I have enough hose to run halfway to Denton, so if your water bill is too much, I can give you free water if you'll buy the other half of the hose.

Lou, I've heard of reading between the lines, but sometimes with your posts, I have to read between the shots. You think I'm talking about booze, but maybe I mean nail gun shots.:confused3: Did you really nail yourself? If you did, you need another kind of shot, tetanus. Gosh! That's painful just thinking about it. . . shudder. Hey, DRink start's with Dr., but it ain't the same.

I might have to do some measuring to see how much hose, then do some calculating as to how much pressure drop there'd be in that distance, then calculate how many gallons an hour I could get . . . . . nah. I guess I'll either have to just pay the water bill or let the grass die.

Incidentally, when my wife got up this morning, she told me it rained last night after I went to bed, so I went out and checked, and sure enough, there was about .05" of rain in my gauge. That makes about 0.18" for the month so far.

FG,, know that skin between your thumb and index finger? with an nail gun you can become part of the roof for a few minutes,, the hard part is pulling it out,, I feel a lot better knowing the barn is fixed,, it was funny,, I am glad I had my hammer with me..

Knowing that you are OK, it does paint a sort of funny pic of you nailed to the roof. I know it was NOT funny, at the time. Maybe you need 2 extra drinks today! :drink:
