Hey, I worked hard to get to this age. If I'm lucky, I'll live to be called a cranky ol' geezer. . . you know, like Lou.;)

Forgive me, jinman, but I hope that I am NEVER called a "cranky ol' geezer"!

two_bit; Neat pics! I love the one of the functional windmill. I have a windmill, but I don't know anyone that works on them, so mine is just "decorative".

Well, thank you. I'm glad you liked them.

I really appreciate windmills and people who use them.

The windmill looks good, to me, but I don't know enough about them to know what is missing or needed. So, it is just decorative. A neighbor had it, and didn't want it, so gave it to me. I'll try to get some pics, later today, and post them up. It would be neat to get the thing "working", but I don't know what all that would entail, besides some drilling.

I said it in the Good Morning thread and I'll say it here too. Happy Father's Day to all my fellow fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers. A VERY happy Father's Day to any great-great-grandfathers. Heck, I'll even say happy Father's Day to all foster fathers and soon-to-be fathers.:)

EDIT - Disclaimer: These Father's Day wishes may or may not include Kanye West. . . all things considered.:D

Dennis: Have you ever made it to Boyd to try the GoGo Gumbo Restaurant? The owner and chef, Kraig Thome has opened a lunch place next door since GGG is only open at night. The lunch place is called Canteen. Bud Kennedy just did a write-up in the Star Telegram about it. My wife is a fried catfish and shrimp kind of seafood person, but I love the whole fare at GGG. The hardest part is getting a seat in the place when it is open. Lines form outside almost every night of the week.

Jim, I haven't, not much of a seafood fan. I love fish, if I caught them and know how they where taken care of prior to cooking. I have noticed several new businesses going up in Boyd though?? I ended the rain with .52"
BTW Jim, IS Kanye the daddy??:D

Blue River We should at least get a "postcard" or something notifying
us we are "Ol geezers" or at least a warning!

FG19, I just assumed it was standing over the old hole, still may be able to see if the mechanisms work though. The aeromotor we had was fairly simple, Thank goodness I never had to take it fully apart though!

Western; I wish that were the case with the windmill. I heard there used to be a functional one, in my horse pasture, but the windmill was sold before I bought here. If I could locate the site, I'd love to have this one moved to that location, and find a way to get it functional. Of course, would probably cost more than would be worth, but just think it would be neat. And then my big horse coiuld play in the water trough to his heart't content, and I wouldn't have to be out refilling the thing all the time.

Looks like a couple of small rain cells popping up ion northern Palo Pinto County. Maybe some hit and miss showers will hit some of us today!

Well, until a bull that I have decided to play with the water lines, that is what it "appeared" to be doing, pumping water into a water garden. Same bull decided to tear the Christmas lights off of it too! Not bothering to "fix" any of it, until he goes into the freezer!
