Ya know, this mowin' stuff is a goin' 'roun'. It must be one of them vy-ruskies that we all catch in the summer.

I spent the better part of the mornin' mowin' my little piece o' heav'n right after I watered my beans, snow peas, and onions. I haven't watered my yard since the last rain and it still looks great. If I don't get a shower today, I'll probably have to sprinkle some tomorrow.
I picked half a big coffee can full of cherry tomatoes this morning and a few just ripening big tomatoes. I hate to take a chance that the critters will get my first ripe fruit, so I brought them into the house to ripen on the window sill. In the next couple of days, I'll have a super fantastic almost the size of my fist, but you just can't beat the flavor of cherry tomatoes. We have so many squash right now that we are in heavy give-away mode to neighbors and relatives. Heck! The real production hasn't even got started.
Tomorrow is Father's Day and bean pickin' day. My wife parboiled and put 12 quarts of beans and snow peas in the freezer yesterday. The heat is hard on the snow peas, but blackeyes love the heat. I saw my first blooms on my blackeyes this morning. They are putting out runners like crazy and growing like gangbusters.
EDIT: I just looked at the radar because I heard rumbling. I'm gonna run out and roll the windows down in car so it will work as a rain magnet. There's a nice little shower coming up from the south that might drop some lawn-water here if it holds its current track.
